Fortnite Player Finds Loads Of Bugs That Epic Hasn’t Fixed Yet
Bugs are always bound to be prevalent in battle royale games. Working across a large map (or in Apex Legends’ case, maybe even a few) and maintaining servers for fans everywhere to get their chance to drop in is hard work, and often, bugs are bound to slip through the cracks. Fortnite is sadly no different, and while its cartoon sheen makes it seem like anything would bounce off of it, it’s no stranger to bugs and glitches.
And one Fortnite player has found the mother lode of glitches.
Fortnite Fan Discovers Treasure Trove Of Bugs
As it turns out, Epic Games have a lot of work to do, as one fan of the game has shared a video showcasing an incredible wealth of glitches that are yet to be patched.
Reddit user pox1016 has revealed an almost six-minute video that rattles through a long list of undiscovered glitches in Save The World mode, from banner placements and music bugs to jittering menus and missing schemes.
The list goes on and on, and the user suggests that there are enough bugs that they didn’t cover in this video to keep making new reports every month. Yikes.
It’s frustrating that so many bugs are rife in the Save The World mode - especially as that’s the mode that fans are actually paying for. Fortnite’s battle royale is far and away the most popular mode to the title’s name, but that doesn’t mean that its other offerings should be bereft of attention.
And some fans in the comments agree.
Fans Respond To Save The World Glitches
The glitches found in Fortnite’s Save The World mode has pricked some ears, and it’s clear that some players have conceded to the fact that STW will never be a focus for Epic Games so long as Fortnite’s battle royale outperforms it.
“As long as BR makes more profit than StW, it will always be put on the back burner”, says user Gdigid. “Sorry, but this is what game development is with a triple A [sic] studio. I have worked in Unreal Engine and while these don’t seem like complicated things to fix, it’s not a game-breaking issue or something someone will run into after playing for ~30hr, or else there would be a lot more visibility around these problems.”
They’ve sadly got a point - unless the bug is genuinely threatening the playability of the mode, there’s little chance it’s going to be unlikely that Epic pick up on it. It’s best put by user Deva_Way - “the state of this game saddens me”.
It’s a shame that these bugs aren’t likely to be ironed out soon - but fingers crossed that Epic Games can give STW a little more focus in the future. People are paying for it, after all.
