All Mythic weapons in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 & how to get them

Mythic weapons and items have always been a staple of Fortnite, and true to form, Chapter 5: Season 2 features several supremely powerful Mythics that can turn the tide of battle.

Let's review all the Mythics in the current season, including the new Avatar bending techniques, and how to get these rare weapons and items in the free-to-play battle royale from Epic Games.

Ares’ Warforged Assault Rifle

Ares' Warforged Assault Rifle is a Mythic variant of the Warforged Assault Rifle forged for Ares by Hephaestus. This Mythic comes pre-equipped with a Red Eye Sight, Drum Mag, Speed Foregrip, and Muzzle Brake.

To acquire this Mythic, you must venture to Brawler's Battleground and eliminate Ares.

Cerberus’ Gatekeeper Shotgun

The guard dog, Cerberus, wields a Mythic Gatekeeper Shotgun to keep unwelcome guests outside the Gates of Hades. Cerberus' Gatekeeper Shotgun sports a Speed Mag, Speed Foregrip, and a Muzzle Brake.

Defeat Cerberus at Grim Gate to procure the Mythic Gatekeeper Shotgun.

Hades’ Harbinger SMG

The Mythic Harbinger SMG belongs to Hades. This Mythic was crafted in the fires of The Underworld and is prefixed with a Holo-13 Optic, Speed Mag, Vertical Foregrip, and a Muzzle Brake.

Challenge and defeat Hades in The Underworld to get Hades' Harbinger SMG.

Zeus' Huntress DMR

Another one of Zeus' toys, the Huntress DMR was a gift from the Goddess of the Hunt. This Mythic comes fastened with a Sniper Optic, Speed Mag, Angled Foregrip, and a Muzzle Brake.

Defeat Zeus in combat at Mount Olympus to claim this potent Huntress DMR.

Waterbending technique

The Waterbending technique joins the cast of Olympian Powers serving as Mythics in Fortnite Chapter 5: Season 2. This bending art boosts movement speed in the water, automatically replenishes Health while in water, and allows you to chuck icy projectiles at foes.

You can find the Waterbending Mythic as floor loot and in Chests as well as in the Bending Scroll Containers at water shrines which have appeared across the Island.

Earthbending technique

Joining Waterbending at last is Earthbending, bringing the powers of Avatar's badgermoles and favourite character Toph into Fortnite. Not only can you summon chunks of earth to throw at enemies, but you can also utilise defensive barriers. 

Similar to Waterbending, you'll be able to find the Earthbending Mythic in Chests, as floor loot, and in Bending Scroll Containers at earth shrines across the Island.

Firebending technique

Letting you harness the power of Prince Zuko and Iroh, Firebending is the third elemental Mythic that's arrived in Fortnite Chapter 5: Season 2. As the name implies, you'll have the ability to hurl mighty arcs of fire towards your foes or immerse each enemy in flames after slamming them down. 

Along with Bending Scroll Containers at fire shrines across the map, you can able to obtain the Firebending Mythic as ground loot or from Chests, although it will be quite rare.

Airbending technique

The final powerful Avatar ability arriving as a Mythic in Fortnite is Airbending - allowing you to wield the winds like the namesake Avatar himself, Aang. You can use the 'air wheel' technique to travel large distances in short time and use the 'air jump' to launch yourself into the air.

Like the other three bending techniques now in Fortnite, you can acquire the Airbending technique via floor loot, Chests, and opening its Bending Scroll Container at air shrines found throughout the map. 

Vaulted Mythics from this season

Midas' Drum

Midas' gold-plated Drum Gun briefly returned for a few weeks in Fortnite Chapter 5: Season 2, featuring a Red Eye Sight, Drum Mag, Vertical Foregrip, and a Muzzle Brake.

You could previously purchase Midas' Drum Gun for 600 Gold Bars from Shade Midas on The Marigold yacht, but because this NPC is no longer in the game, you cannot get this Mythic anymore.

Thunderbolt of Zeus

After it entered the game, the Thunderbolt of Zeus let you toss lighting like the King of the Gods. This Mythic was even more accessible than most, as you could find it across the Island as floor loot, in Chests, or by even defeating Zeus himself. 

However, all of the Olympian Powers like the Thunderbolt of Zeus have been vaulted to make way for the bending techniques mentioned above. They should make a return on May 3, 2024.

Those are all the Mythics available in Chapter 5: Season 2. Note that while the Aspects of the Gods, the Banana of the Gods, the Chain of Hades, and the Wings of Icarus might seem like they ought to be classified as Mythics, these weapons and items are actually Epic/Legendary.
