Fortnite Jurassic World Crossover Leaked With Potential Raptor
There's no "bones" about it, Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 has been one of the most imaginative to date. While there have been criticisms it's stolen a page out of Apex Legends' book, Fortnite Primal has definitely lived up to the promise that things are going to be "wild". With a complete overhaul of areas like the Zero Point and Colossal Coliseum, there are new NPCs, weapon modding capabilities, and a whole new Battle Pass to chug through. While we've already speculated that dinosaurs are on the way, the latest leaks point to a whole Jurassic World crossover.
Dinosaurs are nothing new to Fortnite thanks to the fan-favourite Dino Guard skins, while the name Raptor is also a staple thanks to the legendary skin of the same name. Even if the balaclava-wearing Raptor is nothing to do with dinosaurs, it's easy to imagine him getting a Jurassic World-inspired revamp in Season 6. With each passing day, it looks more and more likely that Epic Games is "hatching" something big from those eggs scattered around the island.
What is the Fortnite Jurassic World crossover?
After prominent leaker FortTory discovered a mention of players being knocked out by Raptors in the game's code, @CheatCorrupt has uncovered some interesting sounds also lurking deep within the bowels of Epic's battle royale bloodbath. Although it's far from confirmation (yet), it definitely sounds like baby Raptors hiding out in those eggs and waiting for the right time to hatch. Alongside wolves and boars being tameable in Season 6, the general school of thought is that you'll be able to tame Raptors. If this is the case, there's every chance we could see a skin related to famous Raptor tamer Owen Grady - who is played by Chris Pratt in the Jurassic World movies. Of course, Agent Jonesy could also take over the role of Raptor extraordinaire.
At the moment, most of us are still getting to grips with everything that's new to Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5. We're too preoccupied with killing aggressive boars and wolves, however, they can be tamed if you know how. Taming wolves is done by killing one of their own, throwing down the meat, and watching the cannibalistic animal feed. When distracted, you can approach and tame the wolf. Boars are similar, but you only need to throw down some fruit or vegetables. If Raptors are coming to the map, we imagine taming them would work in a similar fashion and make them a deadly sidekick to help take out your enemies like when we recruited NPCs in Season 5.
Will we get a Jurassic World crossover in Fortnite?
Those who've been with Fortnite for a while might remember the swirling rumours that Stealthy Stronghold was going to be a Jurassic Park/Jurassic World POI last season. The former home of the Predator is definitely built like an Indominus Rex enclosure, which would neatly cue up a boss battle for a secret Battle Pass skin (again). Scattered around Stealthy Stronghold, you might've noticed the various open cages - looking like they were pulled directly from a Jurassic movie. Added to this, heading to Stealthy Stronghold while wearing a Dino Guard skin last season meant you unlocked an achievement called "Clever Girl" - a nod to Steven Spielberg's 1993 classic.
It's also no coincidence that the Battle Pass addition of Tarana is suitably dinosaur-themed. In particular, her Level 37 skin looks like it features a Raptor skull. Finally, there are strange paintings in Colossal Crops that seem to show people fighting dinosaurs. Couple all of the above with the fact the code reads JW_Raptor, and we could be onto the money with this one. All we need now is to hear that iconic T-Rex roar and we can live out all our Jurassic World fantasies. God creates dinosaurs, God destroys dinosaurs. God creates Man, man destroys God. Fortnite creates dinosaurs - voila!
