Fortnite Competitive Cancels World Cup 2020

Epic Games have announced there will be no Fortnite World Cup in 2020. Epic announced the next Fortnite World Cup would take place in 2021.

Along with this announcement, the team at Fortnite Competitive have also released more information regarding the roadmap of their 2020 plans for the FNCS.

The Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS) is open to any eligible Duos players who have each reached Champion League in Arena and enabled 2FA on their accounts. 

In line with pandemic restrictions due to the COVID-19 situation, there will be no physical LAN events, but the FNCS will be returning each season, to be played online.

Cash Cups will also return, allowing eligible players the chance to win prizes from a prize pool.

The FNCS Invitational will take place this weekend via online play, and the official broadcasts will being streaming on Saturday 2nd of May on their official Twitch channel.
