It looks like it's time for E.T. to phone home because there's a whole new Fortnite Battle Pass on the way. After a good run and bold reinvention of the long-running battle royale title, Fortnite Primal is putting down its bow and arrow, dousing the campfire, and sending Lara Craft back to Croft Manor. As with every season of the ever-popular title, Epic Games likes to keep players on their toes. Chapter 2 Season 7 is no exception.

With the next season just days away, those sneaky Fortnite leakers have got the jump on what to expect by leaking the potential storyline and Battle Pass. There have been various teases about outer space anomalies and contact from far-off lands, however, it's all been leading to this. Fans are expecting another end of season event to pave the way for Season 7, which by the sounds of it, will be shooting for the cosmos in a big way.

What is the Fortnite Battle Pass in Chapter 2 Season 7?

The tagline of "They're coming" has finally been confirmed, with the leaked Battle Pass trailer giving a better indication about exactly who this mystery party is. At the time of writing, UFOs are currently abducting players from across the map, but by the looks of it, things are only going to get worse. According to Fortnite content creator @GranbeFN, they've got their hands on the first trailer for Season 7.

There are continued claims Chapter 2 Season 7 will be officially titled Battle Star - which would fit the sci-fi/alien theme. What that really means remains to be seen, but either way, we're hoping for more Star Wars-themed skins. As usual, the Battle Pass will cost 950 V-Bucks or be included in your Fortnite Crew subscription service. There's also the chance to level up quickly through the Battle Pass with a 25 Tier Battle Pass bundle costing 2,800 V-Bucks.

What does the Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7 Battle Pass mean?

While the teaser is typically topsy-turvy, iFireMonkey went on to analyse what it could mean. They speculated that a previous mention of "AlienStyle" in the code could apply to the super variant skins in the Battle Pass. Once players have polished off the 100-tier Battle Pass, they can go back and grind through it again to unlock variant versions of the skins found at milestone levels. If this is the case, we could see some weird and wonderful alien-themed cosmetics added to the standard Battle Pass skins.

Elsewhere, @HYPEX confirmed that all Primal weapons will be gone in Season 7. Although using a bow and arrow was a fun way to take out enemies, there are those of us who hated the mechanic and the various challenges associated with it. Added to this, how many of you got sick of trying to craft weapons to level them up and gain that crucial Battle Pass XP? It really seems like it will be out with the Primal in Season 7.

A few skins like the Batman/Zero Point crossovers are sure to stick around, while we also know LeBron James is just over the horizon. In terms of who else is joining the Battle Royale party, your guess is as good as ours. Chapter 2 Season 6 had a whole host of characters that included everyone from Horizon's Aloy to DC's Rebirth Raven, with not all of them having a Primal theme. Space OdysseyStar Trek, Mars Attacks, or more Star Wars and Alien are all prime candidates. While we wait, let's look to the stars.
