Challenges offer Fortnite players the opportunity to complete a specific task and receive XP in return. Completing challenges throughout the season is essential for levelling up the Battle Pass. Some players love the activity of challenge hunting. For others, it may feel like a chore. Regardless, they are a necessity for those looking to earn all of the exclusive rewards.

Week 12 followed a bit of an aquatic-theme, while this week offers a little more variety. To complete Week 13’s challenges, players must deal damage in a variety of ways, toss pieces of fruit, enter the Zero Point, and much more.

Without further ado, let’s take a look at our Challenge Guide below for an in-depth breakdown of every single Week 13 challenge and the best course of action for completing them.

Scan a server at a Surface Hub (1) - 20,000 XP

For this challenge, there are two possible Surface Hubs with scannable servers. The first is near the middle of Stealthy Stronghold. Beneath a set of ruins, there is a hidden facility. Take the steps all the way down to the bottom floor. On the left, there is a closed door. Inside, there’s a server. Scan the server to complete this challenge.

The second Surface Hub is within a small building on the south-west corner of Hunter’s Haven. Just as before, follow the steps down to the bottom floor. Once there, head straight and go up another set of steps. The server will be tucked in a corner next to a chest.

Throw Fruit at Hunter’s Haven (3) - 20,000 XP

There are all kinds of juicy fruit on the Fortnite island. Coconuts, bananas, apples, and the like are scattered across the map.

Luckily for us, players can find the fruit needed for this challenge right in Hunter’s Haven. A bunch of the buildings in Hunter’s Haven have kitchens inside them. Boxes of fruit will appear on counters in the kitchen area. Interacting with a box of fruit will make fruit pop out.

All players need to do now is throw the fruit. Grab a piece and toss it across the room. Aim the fruit with the left trigger or right mouse button and throw it with the other trigger/mouse button.

Players will need to throw fruit three times. But there are no rules against throwing the same piece of fruit! Just repeat this action three times to complete the challenge.

Damage opponents at Hunter’s Haven, The Orchard, and Retail Row (300) - 20,000 XP

A simple damage challenge, players must deal 300 damage at three named locations. These locations are Hunter’s Haven, The Orchard, and Retail Row. Hunter’s Haven and Retail Row are named spots on the map. The Orchard is an unmarked location north-east of Colossal Coliseum.

Players will need to travel from location to location dealing damage to enemies whenever possible. Team Rumble is ideal for this challenge. Just fly from POI to POI with the re-deployable glider granted to players in Team Rumble. Alternatively, grab a car and drive to each location. Attack any enemies on sight until 300 total damage has been dealt.

Pistol Damage (300) - 20,000 XP

Another damage challenge, but this one requires pistols only. Players must deal 300 damage exclusively with a pistol.

First, you’ll need to find a pistol. Pistols can appear anywhere. Chests, ground loot, fishing pools — all of these are common spawn points for pistols. With a pistol in hand, it’s time to search for enemies. Unlike the challenge above, the damage can be dealt anywhere. This challenge will be completed once a total of 300 damage has been dealt with the classic sidearm.

Bathe in the Purple Pool at Steamy Stacks (3) - 20,000 XP

This challenge is about as easy as they come. Players need to jump into the purple pool of water that sits inside the Kevolution Energy building at Steamy Stacks.

Head to Steamy Stacks and enter the Kevolution Energy building. In the middle of the building, there’s a pool of purple liquid. Take a swim and bathe in a dose of 20,000 XP… and maybe some weird mutations down the line.

Enter the Zero Point (1) - 20,000 XP

The Zero Point is a large ball of energy floating over the centre of the map — you can’t miss it. Players can fly into it or build up from the ground and walk in. Either way, the Zero Point will send players through time and space and spit them back out. Those able to survive the trip will be gifted 20,000 XP.

Destroy Crystal Trees (5) - 20,000 XP

While you’re at the Zero Point, you may as well destroy a few Crystal Trees for this next challenge. Crystal Trees are the pink trees that spawn in the desert biome. Destroy five of these unique trees with your pickaxe to complete Week 13’s final challenge.
