We are two weeks into the Fortnite x Marvel crossover season. The war to save reality has begun. Galactus threatens the universe and our Fortnite champions have recruited the help of Marvel superheroes (and villains) such as the Silver Surfer, Doctor Doom, and Spider-Man. Together, they must defend reality at all costs.

The new season brings with it new locations, weapons, items, cosmetics, and of course, challenges. Completing challenges throughout the season is essential for levelling up the Battle Pass. Some players love the activity of challenge hunting. For others, it may feel like a chore. Regardless, they are a necessity for those looking to earn all of the exclusive rewards.

Challenges were actually nerfed this season. Standard challenges now offer 25,000 XP, and the Party Assist challenge grants 50,000 XP. Compare this to last season where standard challenges gave 35,000 XP, and the Party Assist challenges offered a massive 80,000 XP. This means completing all of the challenges is even more pertinent this season. Players that still need to catch up should check out our Week 2 Challenge Guide.

Without further ado, let’s take a look at our Challenge Guide below for an in-depth breakdown of every single Week 3 challenge, and the best course of action for completing them.

Search Chests at Steamy Stacks (7) - 25,000 XP

This challenge has become a staple in recent seasons. Every week there is a new "Search Chests" challenge at a different location. This week, players must travel to Steamy Stacks.

Steamy Stacks should be rather tame compared to other POIs this challenge has been held at - like Salty Springs. Steamy Stacks is a remote location on the far corner of the map. As such, not nearly as many players drop there.

Follow the same formula. Ideally, players should wait this challenge out. Gathering chests becomes substantially easier as the week goes on. This is the most stress-free method.

For those in a rush, jump into either Solos or Team Rumble. Drop straight down to Steamy Stacks as fast as possible. Scour the location in search of whatever chests you can find. Once it seems like every chest has been searched, leave the match. Your progress will still count, but you won't waste any more time. Continue this pattern until seven chests have been searched.

Eliminations at Retail Row (3) - 25,000 XP

One of the last OG POIs remaining in Chapter 2 - Season 4. Players must visit Retail Row and eliminate three enemies.

Retail Row is the perfect location for this type of challenge. The POI is always popping, so there will never be a shortage of prey. However, Retail Row is full of high-tier loot. Players have plenty of time to gear up before encountering any competition.

Team Rumble will make this challenge a bit easier. Dying in Team Rumble has no consequences, so players can keep dropping back in. Head to Retail straight off the Battle Bus and jump into action ASAP. The opportunity for elimination will be there, and you just need to capitalise on it. Fight early and often. The three eliminations will come in no time.

This challenge is also very doable in standard modes. It might just take a few more attempts depending on your skill and luck levels.

Collect Wood from Weeping Woods (500) - 25,000 XP

A lumberjack’s dream. Players couldn’t ask for an easier challenge. A total of 500 wood must be collected from the Weeping Woods POI.

Do we really need to go into further detail? Weeping Woods is literally a gigantic forest. The location is made out of wooden trees. Head there, chop a few down, and 25,000 XP is all yours.

Visit Panther’s Prowl (1) - 25,000 XP

The Panther’s Prowl POI is one of the newest additions to the Fortnite map. Panther’s Prowl was added to honour Black Panther and the late Chadwick Boseman. Boseman passed away last month at the age of 43 after a long battle with cancer. The Black Panther statue will remain an icon representing a true superhero.

The statue can be found just West of Misty Meadows. In a field, there is a fortified Panther statue sitting on a rock. Approach the statue and pay your respects to the fallen hero. An elegant tune will play, and the challenge will complete.

Deal damage with exploding Gas Pumps or Gas Cans (250) - 25,000 XP

This is one of the more difficult challenges we have seen in recent weeks. Players must deal 250 total damage via Gas Cans or Gas Pumps.

There are a few methods of pulling this one-off. First, keep a lookout for vehicles attempting to gas up. Consider lying in wait near a popular gas station. Stalk the area until you see a vehicle approach. Unload fire onto the gas pumps. This should inflict damage on all players in the area.

Another route combines Gas Cans and Team Rumble. Drop anywhere on the map and search the surrounding area for Gas Cans. Fill your inventory with as many as possible. From there, hunt down enemy players. Toss the cans and immediately shoot them when they land near any enemy player. The fire and explosion will deal damage.

If you're having trouble finding success on real players, a final sneaky strategy involves Henchmen. The damage dealt does not necessarily have to be on real players. Hunt down Henchmen or even a boss like Doctor Doom himself. Toss the Gas Cans and fire away. The damage dealt will be credited toward this challenge.

Place Fire Traps (3) - 25,000 XP

Fire Traps are a new uncommon trap added in Chapter 2 - Season 4. Players must place a total of three Fire Traps.

This challenge is entirely up to luck and RNG. The challenging part is finding three Fire Traps. Once that's done, all you need to do is place them. The traps do not need to deal any damage, so just place them down randomly if your only mission is completing the challenge.

There's no real strategy for this one. Just loot, loot, loot, and hope to come across a few. Fire Traps are uncommon rarity, so it shouldn't take too long.

Eliminate Iron Man at Stark Industries - (3) 50,000 XP

For this challenge, players must take down the leader of the Avengers - Iron Man. Iron Man can be found housed in the new Stark Industries building.

Stark Industries is located on top of where Frenzy Farm used to be. The POI is a massive raised crop of land. The Stark Industries facility is on the southernmost part of the floating circle.

Players must now confront Iron Man himself. Iron Man wanders around the facility, so there is not one set location he'll be at. Once found, give him everything you got. Snipers and explosives work wonders. Don't relent, as Iron Man's Repulsor Cannon is capable of dealing large chunks of damage. If you find yourself struggling, this challenge can be completed with up to four squad members using the Party Assist Feature.

Once defeated, Iron Man will drop the Stark Industries Vault Key and his Mythic Repulsor Cannon. Grab your loot and complete the challenge.

Deal damage to opponents at Misty Meadows (500) - 25,000 XP

Week 3’s final challenge takes players to Misty Meadows. A total of 500 damage must be dealt to opponents here. Panther’s Prowl is right next door, so get that challenge out of the way while you’re in the area.

Luckily for us, Misty Meadows is typically busy. At least a few players land here every match. Use this to your advantage.

Queue up for a match in either Solos or Team Rumble. Hot-drop onto the location, keeping an eye out for where other players land. Grab a gun as quickly as possible and head in the direction of enemy players and/or gunfire. Move on to a new player following each elimination. Dealing 500 damage means eliminating five players with no shields or two and a half fully shielded players.

Team Rumble is more forgiving for this challenge, but it’ll also take longer due to competition.
