Fortnite’s pop culture pick & mix seems entirely limitless at this point. As the game’s notoriety expanded so did its roster of playable skins, introducing the worlds of Marvel, DC, Star Wars and more onto the battlefield to shoot each other to ribbons.

The game is defined now by its seemingly endless flow of superheroes, fighters, football players and real-life personalities, and a lot of this is down to cross-promotion. The arrival of LeBron James to celebrate the release of Space Jam 2 exemplifies it perfectly - if there’s a character from a bombastic blockbuster that will be arriving in cinemas soon, expect them to make an appearance in the battle royale title.

And the same is true of a new Marvel character for the game that has fans very excited indeed.

As a part of the new battle pass to commemorate the new season on Fortnite, a slew of new skins have made it to the game. Among them are a black and white Fishstick, the mysterious new Yuki, and Carnage, the antagonist of the upcoming Marvel film Venom: Let There Be Carnage.

The Fortnite Carnage skin is available at tier 100 of the battle pass, so it’s going to take a lot of hard work to bag it - but that just makes it all the more special. He joins Venom in the game, and comes with his own loading screen, back bling, harvesting tool and spray too, so you can kit out your entire Fortnite experience with Cletus Cassidy’s rampage.

Though Marvel characters are no stranger to the battle bus, it seems like fans are particularly excited for this fan-favourite villain. So much so, in fact, that Carnage is trending on Twitter at the time of writing with a whopping 19.8K tweets.

Fans React To Fortnite Carnage Skin

Some fans are celebrating how seemingly comics-accurate the Fortnite Carnage skin itself is, indicating its design has taken some influence from Cletus Cassidy’s backstory.

Plus, naturally, now that both Venom and Carnage are in the game, fans are waiting for the inevitable skin addition that’ll finish the comics-accurate trifecta.

And of course, some fans are… less enthused.

Either way, Carnage’s addition is an exciting one, and is a new skin that’s going to please a lot of fans. We’ll just have to get to level 100 of the battle pass first.
