Old-school Fortnite fans will remember the collective heartbreak of the whole fanbase that occurred when Epic Games decided to vault the Pump Shotgun. The decision possibly marked the end of the original "OG" generation of Fortnite players, with the Tactical Shotgun's closer range making building more important and the newer "cracked" kids coming through to send the boomers back to Call of Duty.

Epic has since vaulted other popular weapons and items to shift the meta, including the likes of the Drum Gun, Heavy Shotgun, Burst Rifles, and Silenced Snipers, and now they look to be removing yet another crucial item.

Fortnite Bouncers Vaulted

According to reputable leaker HYPEX, the Bouncers are being vaulted in Fortnite Season 7.

The pads, which are often used as a viable method of rotating in competitive matches and add flair for casual players to get insane kills, will be removed from matchmaking, should the leaker be believed.

Players React To Bouncers Being Vaulted

With the news, many players were seemingly furious at the decision.

One fan took to Twitter to say "Bounce pads were actually good. Why they’re doing this when this one WAS A FAN FAVOURITE is beyond me".

Another Twitter user said, "Damn, They were good for quick mobility if you didn't have Shockwaves or if a vehicle wasn't nearby, I wished it stayed until at least the end of the Season!"

Many of the Fortnite fans expected changes to be made on the bouncers, although most believed "they should just increase the rarity of bouncers," as they quickly became one of the most used items in the game.

Fortnite Season 7 is set to be landing on June 7, with extraterrestrial life forms taking over the battle royale - maybe ET has a fear of bouncing, and the abduction of players will be enough to mix up rotations towards the end-game.
