There's something quite circularly beautiful about watching on of the most illustrious careers come full circle and rounded off with a return to their original roots. For Matthew "FormaL" Piper, the circle of life is becoming ever so closer, as a career on Halo, where he originally rose to fame, could be on the cards after retiring from Call of Duty as a legend.

The famed OpTic Gaming player originated in Halo 4, where back in 2013 an 18-year-old with incredible aim set his iron sights instantly on glory. Having won five events in his Halo career, including the first major of the Master Chief Collection, he soon moved over to Call of Duty and became the first player ever to win a major on multiple FPS titles.

Starting off in 2014, with a win at GFinity 3, FormaL went on to win another 21 Major titles and World Championship, before recently announcing his retirement.

Is FormaL Returning To Halo?

Now, a return to Halo is on the cards, as FormaL has been "offered" a professional contract for an organisation, although it's not for OpTic.

As Halo Infinite has finally arrived, FormaL admitted on stream that "I got a Halo offer, no cap."

"I might take it. I don't think I can tell you who it is. If I can play under that team whilst still being on OpTic I'll do it, but I need to make sure I can do both though."

Who offered FormaL A Halo Contract?

So far, nine teams have been unveiled as the founding partners of the Halo Infinite Championship Series, including FormaL's former Call of Duty team, Envy. Despite not revealing the name of the organisation behind his offer, one from Envy could be an easy scapegoat for Formal to remain as an OpTic content creator and competitor for the boys in blue.

Envy and OpTic are looking to merge in the Call of Duty scene ahead of the Vanguard season, which could see FormaL become a content creator for the joint team, and therefore have a contract under Envy and OpTic, allowing him to compete in the Halo professional team.

Whilst the I's need to be dotted, and T's crossed, a return to the mainstage for FormaL will likely be a deal that will wet the appetite of his large following.
