One lucky, or seriously talented, Forza Motorsport 7 player will be given a professional esports contract by Ford, as the winner of their 'Fordzilla Cup' will join their team.

Available to all Xbox and PC gamers aged 16 and over, the Fordzilla Cup will pit the fastest amateurs in the game against one other for the ultimate prize.

Any entrant will first have to pass the qualification time to participate, by uploading a lap time on a map of Ford's choice. If they beat the anonymous time, they will be granted access to the first round of qualifiers, where they will use the Ford GT on the famous Spa circuit. Those who progress will have to use a range of Ford cars such as the Ford Mustang and other variants of the GT, to become the ultimate Fordzilla Cup champion.

The winner will not only be offered a professional contract as part of Ford's 'Team Fordzilla' side, but will also be kitted out with a range of professional gaming equipment to prepare them for their adventures within esports.

The event kicks off on August 5th, with qualifiers lasting until the 13th. The grand final will be on August 29th, where the winner will be announced.

Players can sign up through their official website, and the main events will be streamed through their Twitch channel.
