Football Manager 2022's release date has been confirmed for November 9, 2021. It will also be available, for the first time, on day one with Xbox Game Pass.

Sports Interactive’s Studio Director, Miles Jacobson, said: "FM22 will break new ground for the Football Manager series as we arrive on Day One with Xbox Game Pass. The success of our return to Xbox last year surpassed even our expectations, and we’re delighted to be expanding our partnership with Microsoft to give Game Pass members the chance to experience the closest thing to being a real football manager."

This is seriously big news, as it's never been on Xbox Game Pass on day one before.

What Can We Expect From Football Manager 2022?

Well, if you're a fan of the series, then you'll know exactly how addictive these games are. The 2022 version promises to be another brilliant addition. If you're not familiar with the games, you basically become a real football manager in the simulation game. You take charge of the world's greatest football teams, and have all of the managerial powers and tools to 'create your own football story and live out your dreams', according to the game's official website.

They add: "Buy the players you want. Set the tactics you favour. Lift the trophies you desire. Your club, your way."

Will There Be Early Access For Football Manager 2022?

There sure will. Until launch (and starting now!) fans who pre-purchase FM22 (for PC and Mac), from a SEGA-approved digital retailer will also get a 10% discount, and "the chance to kick-off their managerial career ahead of schedule with Early Access to FM22". If you're looking to pre-purchase directly from the Microsoft Store, that will also be available soon.

Early Access will be available through Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft Store around two weeks prior to the official release date of November 9. Also, an important note is that single player careers started in that period can be carried across to the final game.

If you're wondering about the mobile version, Football Manager 2022 Mobile will also be available on November 9, more information has been promised to be released next month.
