Fnatic's Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) roster has become true to the organisation's core with their recent acquisitions, as the British side has dipped into the talented bag of home-grown talent and signed the duo of Alex "ALEX" McMeekin and William "mezii" Merriman.

After opting to bench both Jesper "JW" Wecksell and Maikil "Golden" Kunda in a summer-time rebuilding job, Fnatic's new duo have officially been revealed.

ALEX will join to enter the IGL role, having recently been a part of the Cloud9 all-star line up, which was subsequently halted due to the economic pressures of the global pandemic. Back in September, the 25-year-old superstar signed for a whopping $1.6million from Team Vitality.

Having been inactive since April, ALEX has now joined the Swedish trio at Fnatic, although no contract information has been released this time around. Taking to Twitter, ALEX joked towards his British heritage, saying "It's not coming home, but I am."

Mezii will also come in from Sheffield-based Endpoint. The youngest of the new duo is highly thought of in the UK scene and has already begun making inroads on a global scale as his previous organisation climbed to 22nd in the HLTV Rankings.

The two now complete Fnatic's new look, coming in alongside Freddy "KRIMZ" Johansson, Ludvig "Brollan" Brolin, and rising star Jack "Jackinho" Ström Mattsson.

The newly formed side is expected to make their debut at the ESL Pro League Season 14, which kicks off on August 16.
