Alex Scott To Be First British Female Commentator Added To FIFA 22

FIFA 21 saw the old guard of commentators get swapped out for a new and fresh duo, although the general consensus is that Lee Dixon's quick lines are delivered with a whimsical prowess compared to the ominous Martin Tyler.
The recent partnership of Dixon and Derek Rae has not been quite as successful as EA would have hoped, and it now appears that they're reshuffling the pack once again.
EA has now confirmed that they have managed to snatch up arguably the best commentator/pundit in the business, and she comes as the first female commentator to ever appear on FIFA.
Alex Scott Added To FIFA 22 Commentator Team
Former Arsenal full-back and English Football Hall of Fame inductee, Alex Scott will be joining the cast as the pitchside reporter in Career Mode, replacing Alan McInally.
The lioness, who was capped 140 times for her nation, has become a hugely successful pundit, appearing on the official BBC coverage of England's European Cup ventures, having regular stints of Match of the Day, and covering countless Premier League games.
Scott will become the first-ever woman to be a FIFA commentator, just a matter of years after the women's game was added.
Alex Scott Speaks About Being Added To FIFA 22
After confirming she will be appearing in the game, Scott spoke out about the representation of females in the game.
"Whilst I am the first English-speaking female broadcaster to feature in FIFA, I will certainly not be the last," she said.
"I know this is just the start of stronger female footballing representation from @EASPORTSFIFA and the football community as a whole…"
The historic move will be one of many new additions to Career Mode this year, as EA will look to spice up their single-player game mode.
