Riot Games has revealed a new event coming to its autobattler Teamfight Tactics (TFT). The Festival of the Beast, as the event is coined, will release on January 20th and brings a boatload of updates and brand-new features to the game.

From a new Beast Pass that allows players to unlock personalisation options through regular play, interactive arenas that change according to the gameplay events, new Little Legends, ranked reward, and a ton of gameplay updates and changes, the Festival of the Beast introduces a lot of new content to TFT.

Avid ranked players should be especially excited for this update, introducing a new ranked season and a soft reset to the ladder, allowing you to grind up once more with a heavily changed metagame through various balance changes. A chunky 19 Champions have been removed from the pool with 20 new ones joining the fray with both Tryndamere and Samira showing up in TFT for the first time. Due to the removal of those Champions, six traits also exited the arena but are being replenished by seven fresh ones, among them Slayer, Fable, Dragonsoul, Executioner, and Syphoner. Exact details on the new champions or their traits is currently unknown.

Moreover Festive Booms, the animations you see when inflicting damage onto your opponents health with your Little Legends, have also been introduced. Of course as with most major content updates, new Little Legends have also been introduced. Soon you'll be able to acquire the aptly named Choncc, Grumpy Lion, the incredibly cute Dumpling, the gracious Bellswayer and superhero Shisa.
