While the lush greenery of Yara has been fun to explore in Far Cry 6, it tuns out some of us are dying A LOT while in search of an Assassin's Creed Easter egg. Ubisoft is one of the biggest publishers out there, with everything from Watch Dogs to Rainbow Six, AC to Far Cry under its belt.

Far Cry came first in 2004, but since Assassin's Creed's debut in 2007, the pair have been brothers in arms. Yes, an order of assassins inhabiting the bodies of historical figures isn't quite the same as saving a war-torn land from a political dictator, but there are plenty of similarities.

What is the Assassin's Creed Easter egg?

Be warned, hunting for an Assassin's Creed Easter egg in Far Cry 6 could be a one-way trip to an early grave for Dani Rojas. Yara is packed with Easter eggs, and from a Vaas Montenegro bobblehead to a post-credit scene that sets up a possible sequel or DLC, there's a lot to uncover.

Posting on Reddit, a number of players have been sharing their unfortunate experience tracking down an AC Easter egg. At one point, you come across a stone tower and climb to the top. Hearing an eagle and looking at a pile of hay below, the Assassin's Creed series has taught us that you should be able to pull of the "Leap of Faith" move and land safely on the ground.

Ubisoft has royally mugged us off here. Jumping off the plank, you'll land on the floor with a splat and cue the death animation. Even though the screech of the eagle suggests you'd survive the jump, it's likely the devs simply included this as an audio Easter egg, and weren't actually encouraging you to leap into the unknown.

What have players said about the Assassin's Creed Easter egg?

Unsurprisingly, players aren't impressed by the tricksters of Ubisoft. Someone wrote, "The fact that there isn’t an achievement for this shows their lack of dedication to their game/s, while another added, "It still is a leap of faith. But the faith was misplaced". A third said, "I did the exact same thing, I'm sure it is an easter egg. I was lucky enough to go into downed mode and some npc revived me."

Gamers couldn't decide whether this was intentional or not, but either way, most agree Ubisoft missed an opportunity to add an achievement here. Thankfully, you've probably read this and will know to avoid leaping off impossibly high structures into tiny piles of stuff in Far Cry 6. Physics eh, who'd have thought that would be our undoing?
