Fans Left Disappointed After Poor Red Dead Redemption Online Update

Rockstar, we're not angry, we're disappointed. Red Dead Redemption Online has been left to rot and fans are severely upset, especially when the developers are pouring cheap yet effective money-grabbing content into GTAV Online.

The game that is truly dying a red death has not had a major content update in months, with the current game becoming stagnant. All the while, Rockstar's firstborn child is receiving new flashy cars on a weekly basis, and more heists than Michael and Trev could ever have dreamed of.

The update offers "a land of opportunities" with bonuses on a new source of employment, new races, and free rewards for playing with a Posse. With some other minor bug fixes and rendering balances, the fan base has been left unsatisfied yet again, yearning for some brand new and exciting content.

Oh, but you do get Double XP and RDO$ for the next seven days. Hold on to your tavern flasks and revolvers, what a wild western ride this will be. Sigh.

With the update announced on Twitter, many fans took to the replies to express their concern for the title and how the developers are treating a timeless classic.

Many were hoping for long-awaited features such as bank heists, train or diligence attacks, or even the capability to lead your own ranch, which has really rubbed salt in their wounds. Ah, alas, Double XP. Double the salt in the wounds.

Others wondered why the update was so minimalistic, especially with a looming gap in the market following Cyberpunk 2077's disastrous launch.

Well, it appears GTA holds Red Dead Redemption by the lingering cojones of their cattle. Whilst RDR is left to rot, many other comments bombarded the developers for updates on GTA VI, disregarding any notion of the Mid-western RPG.

I'll light a candle for Red Dead tonight, in hope that a revival will come soon.
