Fall Guys Is Gifting Players Kudos And A New Cactus Costume
There's no slowing down for Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout as Mediatonic's colourful battle royale favourite is refusing to back down from its race to claim the gaming crown.
Alongside the introduction of a new level and promises to clamp down on cheaters, the developers are now adding an adorable Fall Guys cactus costume and 5,000 Kudos to spend in the in-game store.
When it comes to Fall Guys, dressing as a giant chicken, french fries, or a woolly mammoth won't help you 1-up your opponents, but still, it;s one of the many reasons we love the game. Watching a bunch of bumbling beans cascade around the map while dressed as a variety of food items and animals even made Fall Guys top Fortnite in terms of hours streamed on Twitch - 25.9 million hours to be exact.

Despite its runaway success and becoming an addictive little title in such a short space of time Fall Guys hasn't been with its issues. Mediatonic seemingly didn't expect to get such a reception, and due to this, server issues have been a big issue in Fall Guys' freshman weeks. As a sorry for all the hiccups, active players can pick up the Legendary Prickles costume and 5,000 Kudos. Chances are that next time you join a match, there will be more "pricks" than normal vying for top place.
It shows how much Mediatonic cares for its ever-growing fanbase, but is it really enough? According to Fall Guys players, yes, yes it is. One happy bean wrote, "AAA Companies: 'you are unhappy? give me more of your tears!' Fall Guys People: 'you are unhappy? here are a bunch of stuff you would pay as much as the game itself while we are working as you see' Why are you guys so awesome?".
There was the odd grumble from a disgruntled player who was still moaning about connection and server issues, but come on guys, give them a break. We've all been there where a lobby doesn't load or we've been booted out of a game. It's unfortunately just part of Fall Guys' teething issues.
The fun doesn't stop there though. After a series of leaked skins were unearthed by dataminers, the Fall Guys store got the jump and has now added Scout from Team Fortress 2 to its roster. Unfortunately, it's only available for Steam players.
It looks like the rumours are true and Fall Guys is slowly heading into crossover territory. We've already seen Half-Life's Gordon Freeman and Hotline Miami's Jacket get a Mediatonic makeover, while elsewhere, there have been whispers of potential Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher wardrobe choices. In the meantime though, I'm more than happy being the ultimate Plant Daddy and trying out that new cactus skin.
