Just over a month after the team was put up for sale by the Canadian organisation amid the current Coronavirus pandemic, Team Reciprocity’s Rocket League roster has been bought out by OXG Esports.

Following their acquisition of the former PSG Esports roster, Reciprocity saw some success in the RLCS, winning the Season 8 European Regional Championship before a disappointing day two exit at the World Championship was followed by a dismal Regional Championship showing back in March. Europe’s longest-standing trio won just a single game as they crashed out with defeats against mousesports and FC Barcelona. Despite the poor finish, the roster remains one of Europe’s biggest titans, having finished inside EU’s top six in every season since forming with Bluey in place of fruity back in Season 4.

OXG Esports is an organisation primarily known for their rosters in card games such as Magic The Gathering and Hearthstone. Formerly known as Team Genji, the org rebranded alongside the announcement of their new rosters. The announcement will hardly come as a surprise to many, given the various reports going around both the Rocket League esports and Rainbow 6 scenes, whose lineup they have also just acquired from Reciprocity.

OXG’s first event is this week’s Spring Series qualifiers, where they’ll be looking to qualify for the main event after missing out on an automatic spot in the Regional Championship.
