We get it, you’re min-maxing either voluntarily or due to social pressure of your guild’s damage meters. In order to squeeze the most out of your character, optimisation of spec, gear, and consumables is required. One of the most expensive regular costs come at the hand of flasks and so it’s important to know the ins and outs to save a gold or two here and there. The good news is that Shadowlands has decomplexified some of the decisions especially in terms of the choice of which flask you should bring. Here is everything you need to know about Shadowlands flasks.

Which Shadowlands Flasks are there?

Currently there are only two flasks in Shadowlands. The first one is likely to be of most use for the vast majority of players in most of the raid encounters being thrown at you. The second will likely only be used by tanks or very special situations not yet seen in Shadowlands. The Flask of Stamina is also a hefty chunk cheaper than the Flask of Power.

[Spectral Flask of Power] - Use: Increases primary stat by 70 for 1 hour. Counts both as Battle and Guardian elixir. This effect persists through death.

Ingredients: 3 x [Nightshade], 4x [Vigil’s Torch], 4 x [Rising Glory], 4 x [Marrowroot], 4 x [Widowbloom], 1x [Rune Etched Vial]

[Spectral Flask of Stamina] - Use Increases Stamina by 105 for 1 hour. Counts both as Battle and Guardian elixir. This effect persists through death.

Ingredients: 1 x [Nightshade], 3 x [Marrow Root], 3 x [Rising Glory], 1 x [Rune Etched Vial]

These ingredients in themselves are going to be rather costly but fret not! There are several ways to save a buck.

How to save big time on Shadowlands Flasks?

The first and most straight forward way is to become an Alchemist yourself and levelling the profession to the point that you yourself would be able to craft the Flasks. Not only will that save you from having to pay expensive crafting profit margins on the auction house, it moreover will provide you with the passive ability Mixology. With that, every Flask you know how to create will double its duration, giving you two hours out of a charge instead of only one.

By far the biggest money saver especially for your guild comes at the hand of the Eternal Cauldron, a recipe you will be able to get upon hitting Revered reputation with the Wild Hunt.

[Eternal Cauldron] - Creates a cauldron that raid members can use to gain the benefit of a flask appropriate to their class and talents. Cauldron has 30 uses and lasts for 10 mins.

Ingredients: 8 x [Spectral Flask of Power], 2 x [Shadestone]

In comparison, it’s incredibly cost-effective to build the Cauldron if it’s available to one of your raid members. For the cost of eight Flasks and two Shadestones (which is each crafted by the Alchemist combining 5 x [Ground Death Blossom], 2x [Ground Vigil’s Torch], 2 x [Ground Widowbloom], 2 x [Ground Marrowroot], 2 x [Ground Rising Glory]), your raid gets a full load of [Spectral Flask of Power] for everyone - a wholesale bargain deal!
