EA has been very busy indeed. The games company have been hard at work overseeing some of the industry’s greatest talents in the production of their latest games. While a lot of games were quite vocal about how they wouldn’t actually be showing anything off (come on, Skate, we’ve been waiting ever so patiently), the conference was still able to pull out some great reveals, including new additions to existing titles and that rumoured reboot.
Here’s everything you missed at EA Play Live…
Every Game Announced At EA Play Live
- The conference kicks off with an introduction from WWE Superstar Xavier Woods. He’s very excited, and teasing a racing title.
- The first game that gets a mention is GRID: Legends, a new racing game by Codemasters. An interview with their game director Becky Crossdale reveals that it’s got more of a story focus, and stars Sex Education’s Ncuti Gatwa.
- The new Apex Legends playable character has been revealed officially, introducing Seer. He seems incredibly agile with a playing focus on enhanced vision and a use of what look to be microdrones. Chad Genier, game director at Apex Legends, has revealed that he’s all about tracking enemies. He can use a heartbeat sensor that detects enemies, and his drones can be used in the form of a tactical or ultimate to track the fast movements of adversaries, forcing them to slow down. His gameplay will be revealed in a new trailer on Monday.

- In the same vein, Apex Legends’ Arenas are getting a ranked mode, and some more maps are in the works too. It was also announced that ALGS will be coming back for year two in September, inviting PlayStation and Xbox players to join in too.
- Lost In Randomgets a reveal, an EA Original title that looks real spooky. Creative director Olov Redmalm discusses the game’s addition to the Tribeca Film Festival, and shares the first look at ‘dice battle’ gameplay. The game has a sinisterCoraline-esque vibe, and is set across environments almost pulled straight out of Tim Burton’s Alice In Wonderland. The game is coming on September 10 for PC, console and Nintendo Switch. Preorders are available now.
- Knockout City is here! CEO of Velan Studios Karthik Bala introduces season two: Fight At The Movies. Lots of mixed-genre mayhem is set to come to the game, with ever-changing maps and a lot of costumes to represent different movie genres. It arrives July 27.

- It’s time for Battlefield 2042. There’s a trailer recap spattered with fan reactions to the first look at the game. DICE’s general manager Oskar Gabrielson shows up to officially introduce Portal mode, the leaked mode from yesterday. The trailer uses the song War by IDLES, which is actually an anti-war song. Delicious irony. Some more gameplay is revealed, offering a look into the possibilities of the sandbox mode.
- It’s time for the “one more thing”. Our host guides us down to a dark room and tells us the final reveal is somewhere in there. Lights flicker, shapes move and metal doors creak. It’s Dead Space, the rumoured reboot of the classic space horror franchise. It will only be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
