Elites Of The Week – CDL Playoffs
The results are set, and the Call of Duty League is ready as the top four teams take the metaphorical stage on Championship Weekend to decide who are the five players that’ll reign above all. Through thick and thin, the final twenty players left in the bracket have nothing else but to give the final few matches their all. It was an impressive and exciting road to the final four, with individual performances, incredible teamplays, and some out of game dominance garnishing the post-season. Some of the best showcases from these Call of Duty players should be highlighted and revered for their absolute spectacle. These are the Call of Duty League’s most elite players of the past week.
Seth "Scump" Abner – "King Clutch" (4.00 SND K/D vs NYS)
The Chicago Huntsmen are one of the fan-favourites to take the 2020 season, and half of that hype is due to the performances from Scump. His ability to completely rob the opposing teams of any momentum within a round is unmatched, and he's constantly one of the top fraggers on his team. Only slightly muted in the map five against the Atlanta Faze, Scump was rocking the competition and made complete mincemeat out of the New York Subliners with a mind-shattering 4.0 K/D on St. Petrograd Search and Destroy. Beating a team is one thing, dominating is another, but embarrassing them live on national television? Please, Scump, take it easy.

Trei "Zer0" Morris – "Call the ambulance, but not for me."
An odd choice for some, but what makes Zer0 an Elite of the Week is the fact that he stuck the knife in the heart of the New York Subliners' playoffs hopes. His teammate Sean "Seany" O'Connor might get all the flare from his performance on the final map in their match against New York, but Zer0 winning against his former team is one of the highlights of the weekend. In an interview with GGRecon, his former coach John "Revan" Boble said that the team could not see any progression while he was on the roster, and after some discussion, they soon traded Zer0 to London. How much of those early troubles were on Trei is unclear, but nothing is wilder than moving onto the top six (now top four), ending your former team's season (sometimes single-handedly), and probably thinking "who's progressing now"?
Zack "Drazah" Jordan – Trigger Fingers AND Twitter Fingers
He may be out of the bracket now, but nothing beats a killer smackdown inside and outside of the game. Crucial for OpTic Gaming Los Angeles, especially on Hardpoint, Drazah was key in their match against the Minnesota RØKKR. After holding his tongue for only three maps, he made sure to let Kaden "Exceed" Stockdale know, that if you come swinging, you best not miss. The tweet that's probably a highlight of the whole 2020 season, Drazah made sure to figuratively end Exceed's career end short and early with a monstrously hot tweet. Just make sure you're not including him on any post-game interviews if this is the heat he's bringing.
Anthony "Shotzzy" Cuevas-Castro – The First MVP
Congratulations are in order for Shotzzy's being crowned the first MVP of the Call of Duty League. It's a major honour to be considered, especially since the pool of candidates was absolutely beyond stack. It's an unenviable position to have to pick, but Shotzzy's story is a great highlight from this season. After a rough start, and so many in the community doubting him, it wasn't long before Shotzzy completely turned his prospects around and started destroying veterans and rookies alike. A Halo champion and only 19 years old, Shotzzy's comeback from a weak start to the season is nothing but impressive from such a young player. A fragger and incredible all-rounder, Shotzzy's is a star player for Dallas and the CDL.
