Elden Ring Gameplay Leak Shows 27 Seconds Of The New Game
New Elden Ring gameplay footage has leaked, and we're very excited about it. When it comes to the new-gen of gaming, there are a few upcoming titles that leap to mind. Battlefield 2042 seems to be using new hardware to push its love of destruction to the limit, and the likes of Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart and Returnal have made early plays on the consoles, proving their incredible power. But few games set to launch on the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 have had as much worldwide hubbub as Elden Ring.
It’s a match made in heaven - the devs behind Dark Souls and the mind behind Game of Thrones coming together for a sombre and bleak RPG experience like no other. And it’s set to set the world of Souls-like fans ablaze.
And would you look at that - we’ve got a brand-new look at the Elden Ring gameplay that’s set to take the gaming world by storm.
Elden Ring Gameplay Leak: What Is It?
We’ve finally got a new little peek at Elden Ring’s gameplay, courtesy of some leaks. It looks like the security of the leaks are pretty tough though, as many of the tweets sharing the clip have been taken down pretty sharpish, but the eagle-eyed are able to find it in the recesses of Twitter.
It’s not particularly riveting gameplay, simply showing a pan of the admittedly stunning world as the player jumps around and disgruntles some crows, but the game still looks fantastic.
Supposedly, the footage is captured on Xbox One - but the editor of GamesBeat Jeff Grubb seems to think otherwise. Sharing the footage on Twitter, he reckons that due to the framerate, the footage was taken from the Series X, and just recorded on a rather primitive recording system.
Either way, the game looks fantastic - and we’ve even got a different peek behind the curtain of Elden Ring’s content, too.
Elden Ring Gameplay Leak: What Else Do We Know?
Along with the new peek at gameplay footage, news out of Australia is that the game has been rated - and Aussie boards have stamped the game with a rating of MA15+.
This rating has been given due to some strong themes and violence, but it’s free of nudity and the like. It’s hard to be surprised that the leading reason for selecting a rating for the game would be based on its violence, especially with its heavy swordplay - we weren’t exactly expecting it to be rated as a 7+.
Elden Ring is likely to set the standard for games going forward in the new generation - and we cannot wait to see what it does to the wider gaming world. It could be the generation’s masterpiece if it sticks the landing - and judging by the talents of its team, it is incredibly likely.
