Dying Light Developers Tease Dying Light 2 Updates
Dying Light fans have been given a Christmas miracle in the form of developers promising "fresh new updates" about the much-anticipated sequel to 2015's Dying Light.
The dev team took to Discord to post a brief holiday message, saying they were "dying" to update fans on the new title in 2021. A release date is at the forefront of most fans' minds, as the first instalment is already five years old, and Dying Light 2 was officially delayed in January of this year, pushing back the tentative Spring 2020 release.
Developer Techland found great success with the 2015 title Dying Light, a zombie survival game, and players have been hungry for more ever since.
Dying Light 2's gameplay was revealed in a world premiere at E3 2018, and after a rumoured Spring 2020 release date (which never came to pass), fans have been craving any details they can get on the sequel to the horror-action game.
Releasing on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the next-gen consoles PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X in 2021, Dying Light 2 takes place 15 years after humanity was laid to waste by the zombie virus, and you (Aiden Caldwell) are an infected survivor with serious combat skills, who must decide which road society takes - whether it be destruction or salvation.
The Dying Light 2 campaign will be playable in 2-4 player co-op mode, or feel free to carve out your own path and go it alone in single-player.
Eager horror gaming fans will be waiting for more updates from Techland in 2021 regarding a release date, extra info on the story, or even more gameplay trailers.
