Dream isn't prepared to let the haters drag him down from cloud nine following his win at The Game Awards. As well as receiving a mountain of love and support from his fans, Dream also got a fair bit of flack from others for the award. However, with one swift tweet he silenced them all.

The internet is still reeling from the excitement of The Game Awards 2021 on November 9. If it wasn't enough that we got to see Jim Carrey and Ben Schwartz present a trailer for Sonic The Hedgehog 2, an upcoming Wonder Woman game was announced as well as Alan Wake 2

However, there was one particular winner of the night whose excitement was exploding through our screens and that's Minecraft enthusiast and streamer, Dream who won the award for Content Creator of the Year. As for his haters who weren't best pleased about the win, Dream had the perfect response.

What Did Dream Have To Say To His Critics?

Following on from criticism about his win, Dream took to Twitter to throw the shade right back at the trolls. In the tweet, Dream said: "Everyone that's mad that I won can stay mad! there's so many people that were deserving of recognition for the amazing things they've done this year, including the other nominees and tons of others that weren't nominated, and I still hope they get as much appreciation as possible."

The Minecraft speedrun player also said that Ludwig "Ludwig" Ahren would have been his choice for the prize but "EVERYONE has different opinions, and I won, so absolutely positively suck my ass." Take that, haters.

Sure, Dream may be incredibly private about his personal life, we don't even know his true identity after all. However, the Twitch streamer and YouTuber has shown that he certainly isn't afraid to speak up for himself. As well as his response following his Game Awards win, Dream stood up to Hasan "HasanAbi" Piker for spreading what he claimed to be "outright lies" about his career.

How Did Dream React To Winning Content Creator Of The Year?

Dream's pure joy at winning the Content Creator of the Year prize at the Game Awards could not be any more obvious just from looking at his Twitter page. Immediately following his big win, Dream said: "THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR CREATOR OF THE YEAR!!!!!! this is so amazing, I love u all such an amazing community".

Dream's Twitter page went on to be flooded with congratulatory comments from both his fans and his fellow streamers, including Tina "TinaKitten", Thomas "TommyInnit" Simons, and Rachell "Valkyrae" Hofstetter. One proud fan commented: "MAKING US MINECRAFTERS PROUD!!!". Another fellow Minecraft fan also stated: "Deserved win, man’s changed the whole game of Minecraft on twitch and the viewer community. One hell of a community for sure."

As with every award ceremony ever, not everyone is going to totally agree with the winners. However, from the wave of love that Dream has received over his win and with such a fantastic comeback against the criticism, it's clear that Dream is more popular than ever and smiling in the face of his haters.
