Dr Disrespect Confirms Game Studio And Teases First Game

Herschel “Dr Disrespect” Beahm is a curious figure in the streaming community. Often the first to point out the flaws in the games he plays, he’s made some controversial statements about his games, namely Warzone, which gets a lot of flak from the influencer.

It’s often that you hear, "If you think it’s so bad, why don’t you do it yourself?”, but few take it very literally. Apparently, Dr Disrespect certainly has, and is currently working on his own gaming studio to rival the titans.

Dr Disrepsects Confirms His Own Gaming Studio

A job listing has appeared on Dr Disrespect’s website, which is looking for the head of his new video game studio, in partnership with BoomTV to build a “AA/AAA gaming studio”. The studio’s attitude to influencers is an interesting one, suggesting that “the studio plans to forge a partnership with a select list of mega influencers and then work closely with them to launch their dream gaming title.”

Using influencers to spearhead games is a novel way to take on the gaming world, but there’s no saying that it couldn’t work incredibly well for Dr Disrespect and the studio’s team. So, now that the studio has been revealed, it leaves the question - what games are they making?

Well, as it turns out, Dr Disrespect has been teasing some ideas on his streams, and we might have already had our first look at the studio’s first outing.

Dr Disrespect Teases ‘Vertical’ Battle Royale

In a May stream, fans spotted a folder on Dr Disrespect’s desktop titled ‘GameIdea_1’. Reluctantly, the streamer opened the folder to reveal some concept art for a game he’d mentioned the idea of before. It's plans for a ‘vertical’ battle royale that pushes players upwards on a map. The folder might have been planted there on purpose, but the game looks exciting - and fans have latched onto its concept.

Maybe this could be the very first game to come from this brand new studio? And given its connection to influencers, is there a chance that this game could be completely branded by Dr Disrespect?

Only time will tell as to what’s in store from the game studio, but if it’s working on this battle royale title, it has every chance to be a very big deal in the genre indeed.
