It's official. After months of speculation and teasers, Dr Disrespect has confirmed that he has formed his very own AAA game studio- 'Midnight Society'.

Herschel "Dr Disrespect" Beahm IV is one of the most instantly recognizable streamers out there, thanks to his iconic bushy lip rug and mullet. However, he's also a gained a reputation as being a Battle Royale pro and he's certainly not afraid to share his criticism of games which fail to impress him (and there are a lot). For instance, he made it very clear that he wasn't all that impressed with Battlefield 2042 or Call of Duty: Warzone, which he called the "worst solo BR experience to date".

So, with such a long list of Battle Royale games that haven't met his standards, the Doc has set up his own surgery and decided to take matters into his own hands. That's right, Dr Disrespect has set up his very own game studio and teamed up with former Call Of Duty and Halo developers.

When Did Dr Disrespect Announce The Game Studio?

On December 13, Dr Disrespect teased his fans on Twitter that he was on the way to announcing the "biggest announcement of my hot shot video game career". 24 hours later, the mullet-sporting streamer revealed that he had co-founded his very own AAA game studio called Midnight Society. Fans flocked to the post to share their excitement and encouragement, including FaZe Clan Co-Owner Nicholas "NICKMERCS" Kolcheff and 100 Thieves Co-Owner Jack "CouRage" Dunlop.

The Doc shared the announcement with an interesting video from the studio, which appeared to show concept art for an upcoming game project. In the clip, the camera glides through the sky as the lights of the city down below can just about be glimpsed through the rain clouds. Every now and then, the footage 'breaks' and we get a peek of a bleak, urban world.

However, this isn't the first time we've seen such a landscape. Fans who've been keeping tabs on the Doc will no doubt recognise this industrial scene as something that the streamer previously teased with mysterious but interesting concept art.

Who Has Dr Disrespect Set Up The Game Studio With?

According to the studio's website, Dr Disrespect co-found Midnight Society alongside a whole host of Battle Royale game specialists. For example, Co-Founder and Studio Head Robert Bowling previously worked as the Creative Strategist and Community Manager for Infinity Ward, the developer behind the Call Of Duty franchise. Not only this, but fellow Midnight Society Co-Founder and Creative Director Quinn DelHoyo was a game designer for the Halo games when working for 343 Industries. Other members of the team include: Studio CEO Sumit Gupta, Gameplay Engineer Ryan Thompson, Concept Artist Eric Hallquist, and Marketing & PR head HB Duran.

There's not much information, as of yet, about the Midnight Society's first game. However, the studio's website said: "The new title is being built from the ground up on Unreal Engine 5 and will be made open to a 'Day-Zero Community' and major content creators from the earliest most iterations. We want YOUR hands-on experience at all stages of development to drive feature prioritization, pivotal design decisions, and fuel innovation in the shooter genre."

Midnight Society have shared some concept art images for an upcoming title.

Not much may be known about the upcoming title. Although, with such a fantastic collection of Battle Royale pros at the helm, it's safe to say that the Doc won't have a bad word to say about it.
