Don’t Worry, Nerds - CoD: Vanguard Will Have FOV Slider On Console
Vanguard, though still in the early days of its announcement, is giving fans a lot to be excited about. The new WWII shooter courtesy of Sledgehammer Games is set to bring a lot of exciting changes to the way we play and perceive the Call of Duty franchise. From the announcement of Treyarch taking over Vanguard zombies to the much-debated Champion Hill mode, the excited masses of CoD fans have a lot to mull over before the game’s eventual release later this year. But it’s not enough.
“Where is the FOV slider?”, cry the swathes of fans who care more for settings than the actual gameplay, “I can’t play Call of Duty unless it looks like I’m looking down the wrong end of a telescope!”
Well, worry no longer, because a slider is coming to the game. Aaaaand breathe.
Vanguard Will Have Customised FOV Options
We haven’t had any direct confirmation from Sledgehammer Games just yet, but we’ve seen some screenshot evidence that there is in fact a way to alter your field of view in Call of Duty: Vanguard.
Senior Game Developer at Sledgehammer Games Adam Iscove has revealed (or maybe even leaked) a screenshot of the settings menu that shows off a Field of View slider, with an example of what the different settings for the slider look like.
The slider seems to cap out at 120, but chances are that’ll be more than enough for even the biggest of TVs.
Plus, the official Sledgehammer Games and Call of Duty accounts seem to be enjoying the hype for the setting that so many have been excited for.
Sledgehammer Games And Call Of Duty Chime In On FOV ‘Leak’
Both the game’s developer and the official account for the Call of Duty franchise have chimed in on the supposed ‘leak’ by Iscove.
“Delete this”, suggest Sledgehammer in the tweet’s replies.
“Actually don’t delete this…”, replies Call of Duty. It looks like they think it’s about time that the fans knew all about the setting that fans have been waiting to see revealed for so long.
Well, there it is, nerds - you’re going to be able to directly alter your field of view to your liking in Vanguard, so finally, you can look behind you as well as in front of you at the same time. Finally.
