Dead by Daylight has been a treat for co-op game fans and schlocky horror movie fans alike. The original title took what worked about Friday The 13th: The Game and turned it into a refined and compelling horror title that forces you to be a real team player.

If that wasn't enough, there are all of those DLC packs loaded with horror icons like Hellraiser’s pinhead and Silent Hill’s Pyramid Head. If you were hankering for more from the game’s team, we’ve got good news - so long as you’re an Xbox user.

Dead By Daylight Developer Working On New Xbox Title

According to a job listing from Behaviour Interactive, the team behind Dead by Daylight is working on a new AAA title that will use Unreal Engine 4. The current DBD Level Designer has the ‘Unannounced AAA project’ on their CV and has listed its prospective platforms, too - Xbox and PC.

This might sting a little for PlayStation-based fans of their horror title, but it’s exciting news to see that the company IS working on a new project alongside maintaining DBD. Plus, as they’ve been tinkering on the game since August 2019 according to the listing, there’s every chance we could see it very soon indeed.

PS fans might feel a little abandoned by this move, but frankly, it’s one we could have seen coming. Pretty much since its arrival, Dead by Daylight has been one of the poster boys for the Xbox Game Pass. It seems that a lot of the game’s dedicated fan base has arrived as a result of its presence on the subscription service.

This is likely why the new original is set to launch on Xbox - though if it’ll go straight to the Game Pass remains to be seen. Looking at the indie success of Dead by Daylight and its explosion into the mainstream, we're pumped to see what else could be going on behind the curtain.

This is great for DBD fans, and we’re excited to see what Behaviour Interactive has planned for its next original games. It's a given, but bonus points for something spooky - of course.
