In an unsurprising turn of events, CD Projekt have announced another delay for Cyberpunk 2077.

In an official tweet, the game sent out a message informing fans that the release date would be pushed back a further 21 days, to December 10.

Developers Adam Badowski and Marcin Iwanski cited the reasons for the delay as technical - they want to ensure the game can run as smoothly as possible on release day.

The game, should it ever release, will be playable on current-gen and next-gen consoles, as well as PC.

As eager Cyberpunk 2077 fans know all too well - this isn't the first delay. CD Projekt have really been through the ringer of postponement. Initially planned for an April 2020 release date, more issues brought about their first delay - pushing the title to September, then November, and now to December 2020.

What is even more extraordinary is the period of time between the first announcement for the game and now - eight years. Yep, Cyberpunk 2077 was first announced way back in 2012.
