Crimsix Reveals Dallas Empire Tried To Re-Sign Clayster After Stage 3
James "Clayster" Eubanks has endured one of the toughest seasons of an illustrious career this year, with the three-time Call of Duty world champion being dealt one hell of a bad hand.
Following his third championship ring (putting him in an elite bracket alongside Damon "Karma" Barlow and Ian "Crimsix" Porter), Clayster only had one day of celebration before being slashed from the Empire roster amid a change to four vs four.
As the unfortunate player to miss out, his motto of "feed me to wolves, and I'll come back leading the pack" was quickly enforced, albeit with a set of hurdles for his hungry dogs to jump over.
At New York Subliners, a variety of forced roster changes due to outside forces (injuries and visa woes) have stifled their progress towards the end of the season.
Now, it appears that their main man Clayster could have jumped ship in CDL Stage 3, and rejoined Dallas Empire.
Crimsix Reveals Dallas Planned To Re-Sign Clayster
In a string of tweets, Dallas Empire paladin, Crimsix, discussed the roster moves, after his legal counsel advised against a video being released to explain life after Cuyler "Huke" Garland.
As Huke was benched from the Dallas Empire, the team quickly pulled in their substitute player Tyler "FeLo" Johnson, and subsequently signed Reece "Vivid" Drost as a replacement.
However, Crimsix has now revealed that their number one target was a reunion with Clayster.
Clayster has recently been under fire from his own teammates for taking an impromptu mental health break with just one round of fixtures left before the final Major of the year. With this news adding fuel to the fire, all eyes will be on him as the Major comes within touching distance.
Crimsix Reveals Post-Huke Video Was Blocked By Legal Counsel
The most-winningest player in console esports history is never one to hide behind his keyboard and mouse, and following criticism of Empire's handling of Huke, Crimsix has promised fans a detailed video in response.
In a now-deleted tweet, Crim said his video detailing everything from Huke to transfers and Vivid's progress has been blocked by his own legal counsel.
Both Activision and Envy (Dallas Empire's parent organisation) had accepted the video that most of the Call of Duty esports community are awaiting.
As the Black Ops Cold War season edges ever closer to the world championships and its timely end, both Dallas Empire and New York Subliners will be looking to launch a final attack on Atlanta FaZe and a recently rampant OpTic Chicago.
