CouRage Slams Warzone's Anti-Cheat And Praises Fall Guys'
Although Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5 has given fans a marked change across the board and firmly put the pieces in place for what's coming in Call of Duty 2020 and beyond, Infinity Ward is still facing some serious backlash from those who are sick of having their matches ruined by cheaters.
Developers have asked players to stop cheating, which as you can imagine, worked about as well as a chocolate fire guard. As players like Jack "CouRage" Dunlop continue to lose their rag with Infinity Ward, it seems other games are making the most of Warzone's misery and their own success of giving cheaters the boot.
Even CouRage himself has praised Mediatonic's handling of cheaters in Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout, while also venting his frustration at Warzone.
Posting on Twitter, CouRage highlighted how troublesome Warzone rivals have been destroying his experience and seem to escape the ban hammer. He said that he's come across only one in Fall Guys, then watched as they were quickly ejected from the squishy showdown. Worringly, CouRage's complaints are becoming more and more commonplace in Warzone circles.
Epic Games also comes under fire for glitches and hacks allowing cheaters to fall through the yet, but according to CouRage, it's nothing compared to Warzone. In an earlier Tweet, he threw the gauntlet down to Infinity Ward when he wrote, "I have 12,000 games played of Fortnite across 3 years. I’ve died to cheaters 3 times. I’ve played Warzone for 4 hours today. I’ve died to cheaters 6 times".
In July, Infinity Ward posted a very clear tweet outlining its terms and conditions when it comes to cheats, however, the comments soon turned into a slanging match where many regarded the company's stance on cheaters as a joke.
Despite its popularity, Warzone's supersized battles are becoming a hotbed of hackers and cheats. In recent times, we've written about sneaky players exploiting glitches to hide under the Verdansk Prison or turn the FR 5.56 underbarrel shotgun into a deadly killing machine. That's before you get to general glitches where some players are instantly placed in the Gulag, or all those who actively pay for cheat codes.
That isn't to say the likes of Fortnite and Fall Guys don't suffer with the same problems. Kona hacked the Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS) just to tear Epic's Anti-Cheat to pieces. It simply seems some games have it worse than others when it comes to cheaters and players being vocal about it.
