Riot Games Teases A Billie Eilish X League Of Legends Collab
She may only be 19 years old, but singer-songwriter Billie Eilish has already managed to take the music world by storm with her raspy vocals and her incredible neo-goth style. However, a tweet by Riot Games Music has fans speculating as to whether the Canadian music artist could soon be about to conquer the League of Legends universe.
What Was The Tweet From Riot Games Music About?
On September 2, Riot Games Music, the record label behind LoL's soundtrack, had an interesting response to the announcement of Vex, one of the new champions of the game. In the tweet, an image of Vex was placed alongside the album cover of Billie Eilish's most recent album, Happier Than Ever.
Although this is nothing official, the similarities between the two pictures stirred up excitement amongst some fans, who were clearly keen for a potential collaboration with the singer and Riot Games Music. One fan's response was: "YOU CAN'T TEASE THAT AND THEN NOT DO IT". Another speculated as to whether Vex could be becoming part of a new band: "So a band where billie eilish will sing vex". Although, others were fairly sceptical of the comparison: "Not really much resemblance other than the head tilt lmao".
Is There Going To Be A Billie Eilish/League of Legends Collab?
Again, nothing has been made official as to whether Eilish could be collaborating with LoL. In response to the excited fans, Riot Games Music responded with: "We wish! Maybe one day - just manifesting for now". So, maybe in future she could very well be appearing in Runeterra.
Eilish definitely wouldn't be the first in her family to step foot into video games. Her mum, actress Maggie Baird, voiced Samara in both Mass Effect 2 and 3.
It's true, Eilish's distinctive fashion sense and Vex's early 2000's emo style would work match perfectly together. But for now, Vex is serving us all the bad type, make-your-mama-sad type vibes we need.
