Though it might not be operating on the same level as Fortnite when it comes to cosmetics, Warzone sure does love them anyway. It’s no surprise that a free-to-play title relies on selling skins, calling cards and the like to keep itself afloat (and blimey, Warzone is making serious bank), and the Call of Duty battle royale title is still performing well with cosmetics alone - but some players keep wanting more.

A lot of cosmetics from Black Ops Cold War were not also available in Warzone, a fact that has rubbed a lot of Zombies super-fans the wrong way, especially as they all seemed to be from the undead mode.

Raven Software had already promised that the cosmetics would be coming, and fans have been waiting with bated breath - and finally, the long-awaited day is here.

Black Ops Cold War Zombies Cosmetics Are Trickling Into Warzone

With the launch of Warzone’s season five reloaded bringing brand-new modes and big weapons balancing patches, it has made a lot of fans happy by also bringing the Zombies mastery camos that fans have wanted for a very long time.

Raven has now confirmed that the Zombies camos have finally arrived. They were announced in a dramatic video posted to the developer’s Twitter page, showing off soldiers inspecting their weapons with the fancy camos.

How Do I Unlock The Cold War Zombies Weapon Skins?

The camos themselves are Dark Aether, Plague Diamond, and Golden Viper. They’ll be available to you if you own Black Ops Cold War and have completed the (admittedly tough) challenges required to bag them in that game’s Zombies mode.

The skins aren’t ones you can apply directly to any weapon you like - you’ll earn them one at a time for each weapon you can secure zombie kills with in-game.

To unlock the Golden Viper camo, you’ll need to unlock every single one of the many camos for each weapon in the Zombies mode by securing kills, headshots, consecutive kills and more. It’s hard work, and it’s only one step.

For the Plague Diamond, you need to do this for every single gun in its respective class. So, if you want the skin for SMG weapons, you’ll have to repeat this step for every single one of them. But that’s not all!

For the final skin, Dark Aether, you need to do this for every single weapon. All of them. No exceptions.

It’s a lot of hard work which, if anything, validates fan frustrations with the skins not coming to Warzone - but at least Raven Software have come through finally.

Good luck bagging those skins, because you’re definitely going to need it.
