CoD Players Are Calling For Highrise Map To Be Added To Warzone
Ah, Highrise. The classic map from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was home to many an impressive trickshot, and it was a location that defined the game’s experience. There’s no doubt it’s the favourite Call of Duty map for many players, and fans have been asking for its return in mainline games almost since it first came out.
But now, those calls are spreading to Warzone of all places, as fans beg for the map to be added to the battle royale experience.
Fans Want Highrise Added To Warzone
In the CODWarzone subreddit, fans are rallying up to discuss what Warzone would look like if Highrise were implemented. “Warzone map team lost an opportunity to add this to one of the downtown skyscrapers”, says user owedemwingy, with a picture of the map’s helipad as the iconic cranes loom in the background.
Users sound off in support of the motion in the comments, with one user saying “YESS, DUDE!! Blackout map was a MILLION TIMES BETTER, there’s a reason I only play Rebirth, Verdansk is an awful map.”
Another reflects on the good old days of Modern Warfare 2 lobbies - “The amount of attempts I tried to get to that crane! Loved that map.”
Is Adding Highrise To Warzone A Good Idea?
The map’s inclusion to Verdansk wouldn’t be entirely mad - the map for Black Ops 4’s Blackout mode was an amalgam of different locales from the Call of Duty series and became a melting pot of maps, so it wouldn’t be out of the question for Verdansk to receive the same treatment. After all, if they can include Nakatomi Plaza from Die Hard, locations from the Call of Duty franchise can’t be much harder.
It's not a bad idea, and it's one that would help to bring some spice to the newest iteration of Verdansk that many players have already grown bored of. The #PutHighRiseInVerdansk campaign starts NOW.
