Rules & Format

At each home series 8 of the 10 CDL teams will play out a weekend in a mini-tournament format. The teams will be separated in to two groups of four, competing against each other in to a single-elimination bracket. The winners of round 1 will play in a qualifiers match, whereas the losers will enter a knockout match to determine who will be playing the loser of the qualifiers match. The winner of the 2nd knockout match will proceed, along with the qualifiers match winner, to the Semi-finals. The teams continue the general semi-final to final tournament format until one team is crowned the champions of the series, adding their points to their season total.

Teams earn 10 points for every win and the event winning team will earn an extra 10 bonus points.

For each home series, the points are distributed as per the following:

  • 1st Place – 50 Points
  • 2nd Place – 30 Points
  • 3rd/4th Place – 20 Points
  • 5th/6th Place – 10 Points
  • 7th/8th Place – 0 Points

In the event of a tiebreaker, the winners are determined by the team’s head to head match win percentage, their H2H game win percentage and their overall game win percentage; in their respective orders.
