On Game Pass, everyone can hear you scream. In another marriage for the ages, Cold Iron Studios' Aliens: Fireteam Elite is coming to Microsoft's gaming platform and a whole new audience.

Let's be honest, unless it's Alien: IsolationAlien games have a bit of a hard time. After the disaster of SEGA being sued over Aliens: Colonial Marines, you'd think devs would be doing everything in their power to make sure anything with a Xenomorph is attached is the best it can be.

When it comes to Aliens: Fireteam Elite, the writing is already on the wall. Alongside a mouthful of a name, there are criticisms of repetition, while even hardcore fans claim there aren't enough experienced players to keep them coming back.

Aliens: Fireteam Elite - What Do We Know?

According to Xbox Wire, Aliens: Fireteam Elite is officially coming to Game Pass on December 14. Even if Fireteam Elite didn't make the most noise upon release, it got just enough positive views to keep it ticking along. Importantly, the devs have a roadmap of content to keep things fresh.

Aliens: Fireteam Elite heads to Game Pass alongside Generation Zero and Evil Genius 2: World Domination, while Season 2 of the Xeno blaster will also land on PlayStation and PC the same day.

If you want to know what's on the way, Season 2 adds a new mode called Point Defense. It's an alternative to Horde Mode - where squads have to protect and repair strategic points through waves of attacks. Elsewhere, there's a new Lifetime Stats feature, and four new weapons (a Rifle, Hand Gun, CQW, and Heavy Weapon).

Season 2 will also lean into the cosmetics with new attachments, new weapon colourways and decals, head accessories, emotes, and Challenge Cards that will "bring a unique twist to your next missions." Although it's all pretty standard fodder, it's the Game Pass news that's the big talking point.

Can Game Pass Save Aliens: Fireteam Elite?

Unlike the "isolation" of IsolationFireteam Elite was always intended to be played with others. Thankfully, the multiplayer masses of Game Pass should lean into this perfectly. As previously said, one of Elite's biggest struggles has been getting a large enough player base and keeping them there.

We've seen this business model work out great when it comes to Back 4 Blood, but with the zombie shooter sharing A LOT of similarities with Fireteam Elite, will the two titles push each other out of the race?

When Elite arrives on Game Pass, expect it to soar to the top of the download charts, but it remains to be seen how long it will stick there. You also need to remember the push of Season 2 content is something of a big deal - with hopes it will expand the lore of the Alien franchise.

Some already claim Aliens: Fireteam Elite could be one of the best Game Pass additions in living memory, so gather your squads and your flamethrowers. Come and get her... you b*tch.
