Our guide on which Assault Rifles are best to use in Warzone to help you win.

Everybody loves an overpowered Assault Rifle. They are the easiest weapons to use, have good accuracy over long and short distances and offer high levels of damage, especially to the head. They are a popular feature for players in Call of Duty: Warzone. In addition to our guide on loadouts, check out our video below for the Best Weapons to Use in Call of Duty: Warzone, and read on for our recommendations on the top four Assault Rifles to use and how to kit them out with the best loadout options.

#4 - M13

The M13 can be found in loot boxes in common, uncommon and rare variants (Up to three attachments), and therefore it is recommendable to get comfortable with this weapon to use in early stages of games. It is also a good AR to use with your premade loadouts. It has the lowest damage rate per bullet than any of the other AR’s, however, it does have a high rate of fire and great mobility, especially with the Skeleton Stock equipped. The Skeleton Stock on the M13 makes this the fastest weapon in the game in terms of movement speed, even faster than the combat knife, which is unusual for an AR. The M13 makes for a good weapon at mid-close ranges with it being a close bridge in between the SMG category and the other AR’s.

These are our recommended attachments for the M13 to give yourself the competitive edge if you chose this weapon in Warzone.

  • Barrel – Tempus Marksmen
  • Stock – M13 Skeleton Stock
  • Rear Grip – Stippled Grip Tape
  • Ammunition – .300 Blackout
  • Optic – (Preferential) G. I. Mini Reflex

The barrel will increase your long-range damage velocity meaning it is effective at slightly longer distances. The Blackout rounds are also awesome! They hide the bullets leaving the gun, whereas normally you will see the direction that bullets will be coming from. Therefore, if you are shooting at an enemy, they won’t be able to see whereabouts the bullets are coming from, perfect for stealthy Warzone plays.

#3 – RAM-7

Like the M13, the RAM-7 has a faster rate of fire than most AR’s making this a great Assault rifle for mid-to-close confrontations. With more damage than the M13 but less mobility, the RAM-7 is a good alternative as it requires slightly less accuracy at close range. With the fire rate being so high, this AR is suited for closer combat but is not gifted in accuracy and control. If you prefer closer confrontation and have a good aim, the RAM–7 can be deadly.

These are our recommended attachments for the RAM–7 to give yourself the competitive edge if you chose this weapon in Warzone.

  • Muzzle – Compensator
  • Barrel – FORGE TAC Eclipse
  • Rear Grip – Stippled Grip Tape
  • Ammunition – 45 Round Mags
  • Optic – (Preferential) Operator Reflex Sight

This combination offers better accuracy and range than the default weapon, and the 45 Round Mags offer more ammunition for your close encounters, as this weapon will chomp its way through bullets with its aggression.

Warzone Assault Rifle

#2 – ODEN

The polar opposite of the RAM-7 and the M13, The Oden is a more powerful controlled weapon. Maintaining the slowest rate of fire out of the AR’s, each bullet is brutal. Having almost double the damage per bullet than the M13, the Oden is perfect for longer battles. It has a much better bullet velocity range than the previous weapons, and alongside the merciless damage, it makes for a great weapon in all instances of a Warzone game. It suits a more reserved player who plays with aggressive teammates, allowing you to pick off opponents from range. Used correctly, the Oden also suits later stages of a Warzone game, especially if you stick to the outskirts of the circle and optimise the terrain to keep a distance from players.

These are our recommended attachments for the Oden to give yourself the competitive edge if you chose this weapon in Warzone.

  • Muzzle – Colossus Suppressor
  • Underbarrel – Merc Foregrip
  • Stock – FTAC XL Elite Comb
  • Rear Grip – Stippled Grip Tape
  • Optic – (Preferential) Operator Reflex Sight

The Colossus Suppressor makes the weapon look rather awkward; however, this actually increases range which is unusual for a suppresser, and it keeps you off the map. Perfect for Warzone. This combination allows for a stealthier and reserved gameplay allowing you to collect kills at distance without being noticed.

#1 – M4A1

Our number one weapon is the perfect all-rounder. A blend of high bullet velocity, a decent rate of fire, and great mobility, accuracy and control with the right attachments. We rank this top spot as it allows for a completely balanced gameplay, having benefits at both close and long-range. It allows you to get up close and personal, like the M13 and RAM-7, and allows you to also play reserved and get kills from distance. It’s hard to find many faults in this weapon if you are looking for a well-rounded AR.

These are our recommended attachments for the RAM–7 to give yourself the competitive edge if you chose this in Warzone.

  • Barrel – Corvus Custom
  • Stock – Singuard Arms Invader
  • Rear Grip – Stippled Grip Tape
  • Ammunition – 60 Round Mags
  • Optic – (Preferential) Operator Reflex Sight

These offer a beautiful blend of accuracy and range and is one of the best weapons on the game. The M4A1 also offers two different barrels if you wanted different gameplay. The 9mm Parabellum Barrel changes the gun significantly to have a much faster rate of fire and less damage and offers a damage multiplier to the torso. This is something that does require very good accuracy and may be worth trying out. Furthermore, the .458 Socom Barrel changes the weapon to a 10-round monster. Also requiring incredible accuracy, the barrel changes the damage to a 3 bullet kill anywhere on the body or 2 bullets to the head (with no armour). This does come at the expense of the rate of fire, significantly reducing this and has a lot of recoil, but if you can tame this beast it is deadly. These special barrels may not be perfectly suited to Warzone though with the added armour. The original attachments we suggested do give you an ultimately balanced AR, and this is why it is our number 1 recommendation.
