Some of you will be very familiar with The Gulag, some of you not so much. In Call of Duty Warzone if you are eliminated from the game you will get sent to The Gulag. Here is everything you need to know, and tips on how to survive.

What is The Gulag?

The Gulag is a 1v1 match where you will face off for the chance to redeploy back to Verdansk. You will both be generated a weapon, most likely a shotgun or pistol, a tactical, and a lethal. The player who gets the kill will be victorious and will return to the battlefield. The loser will either be dumped from the game or will spectate any teammates that are still alive. If you are spectating you can still be brought back, but for $4500.

How do you get there?

You can only get to The Gulag by being eliminated from the game. If you are knocked down by an opponent and finishes you off before a teammate can get the revive, this is where you will go. You can only enter The Gulag once per game. It also closes after 18 minutes and 45 seconds into a game, so after that time you can only be bought back from the buy stations.

Tips on how to win

Read your loadout

You will be presented a gun at random, so it is always best to check your loadout when it gets shown to you. This will make sure you know how to use the weapon. This can then determine how aggressive or reserved you would like to play.

Use your Tactical

Your tactical will most probably be a stun or a flash, which will be able to blind or disorientate your opponent. This will make your opponent vulnerable, and much less coordinated to get any accurate shots on you. Although from the video below, this is not always the case.

Capture the flag

You have 40 seconds to get the kill in The Gulag. After this time, you will go into Overtime where a flag will appear in the centre. You can win the game by capturing the flag or getting the kill. To give yourself the advantage, use the centrepiece of The Gulag to rotate around which will give you the best chance of picking off your opponent who will be pushing up.

Use your Squad

Your Squad can be vital in coordinating you around the Gulag. If you have any squad members captured with you, they can call out the location of your opponent giving you the tactical edge. If you are not linked up in audio, they can throw rocks from the ledge to give away the location of the enemy. But beware, the rocks can blow up proximity mines and C4’s

Spray paint
