Call Of Duty: Vanguard Reveals Alpha Release Date
Call of Duty: Vanguard, regardless of your expectations of another CoD World War II shooter, has garnered an incredible amount of hype in the last week. The game’s in-game reveal in Warzone gathered a lot of intrigue, and the massively cinematic trailer has given fans a peek at what’s to come - and suddenly, the Vanguard era has begun.
It’s been a bit of a whirlwind for the series’ new instalment, but the promotional push for the game has worked wonders, and now fans are excited to get their hands on it. Lucky for you, then, because the Alpha testing of the game has been revealed to be coming very soon indeed - but it’s only for one console.
What is the Vanguard Alpha Release Date?
The release date of Vanguard’s Alpha testing has been revealed, and it’s incredibly soon. In a tweet from PlayStation, the Alpha has been revealed to be coming on August 27 and will roll into action with the brand-new Champion Hill multiplayer mode.
You’ll also have the chance to pre-load the Alpha, so you don’t have to waste your time downloading it while your limited time is ticking away.
The only trouble with this Alpha, exciting as it is, is that it’s only available to a few consoles. Sorry, Xbox users.
Vanguard Alpha Is A PlayStation Exclusive
It turns out that Vanguard’s Alpha testing is limited purely to users of the PS5 and PS4, leaving Xbox and PC fans out in the cold. However, it’s a great deal for PlayStation fans of Call of Duty, as players won’t even need a PlayStation Plus subscription to play it.
Preloading for the Alpha started at 11am BST, so it’s ready for you now if you want to get it installed before the testing kicks off. Have fun testing the new Call of Duty! We’re not jealous at all.
