Call of Duty's camos might have lost a little bit of their importance over the years, but some players are still obsessed with getting all of the weapon skins they can muster.

Back in the days of Black Ops II, Call of Duty weapon skins were all the rage, and a status symbol like no other - but they’ve since fallen off a little. There are a dedicated few that will still let their inner completionist run amok and climb up the ranks with the challenges required to unlock the very best weapon skins in the game.

And now, it looks like those very players have something good to work towards - as the first Call of Duty: Vanguard mastery camo has leaked, and it looks sick.

Vanguard’s First Mastery Camo Leaks

The first mastery camo from Vanguard has leaked, and it has become pretty illustrious to say the least. The image was first shared by popular leaker TheMW2Ghost on Twitter, but their account was subsequently suspended after sharing. The image has now been reposted by CODCODLeaks, but there’s no telling how long it’ll last online.

The camo is thought to be called Red Aether, which is a spin on the Dark Aether skin from Cold War - and as such, this is theorised to be the mastery skin for the game’s Zombies mode.

The secrecy behind the Call of Duty: Vanguard mastery camo and the fact that TheMWGhost has been taken down has added validity to the skin, meaning fans can get excited to claim it starting this week.

But, some fans aren’t happy with it.

Fans Think Vanguard’s First Mastery Camo Is ‘Recycled’

Some fans aren’t exactly enthused by this skin. As cool as it is, they think it’s just a recycled version of the last Zombies mastery camo.

Plus, though some are a fan of the skin, they think there’s every chance it’ll end up getting a downgrade in Warzone.

Whatever you think of this Call of Duty: Vanguard mastery camo, it’s nice to see something like this prior to the game’s release. It’s telling that the camo system from Cold War and Warzone is carrying over nicely into the new game. You know what they say - if it ain’t broke...
