Call of Duty: Vanguard feels like it was only announced yesterday, and suddenly, it’s coming out next month. Blimey, that went quick. A new trailer has arrived too, that gives us a closer look at the game’s narrative and promises to give a peek into the savage lives of heroics from characters based on real-life fighters during World War II.

Despite the Call of Duty franchise's previous steps into the era, Vanguard is set to tread new ground for the FPS genre, and fans can’t wait to jump into it. But, if those players just so happen to be playing on PlayStation, then you might be in for a treat.

PlayStation Players Will Get Bonus Vanguard Content

PlayStation fans rejoice! It has officially been revealed that Call of Duty: Vanguard will be coming packed with some “exclusive benefits” for players on PS5 and PS4 consoles. It was revealed by the story trailer that was posted to the PlayStation account. Sony's trailer included a final screen - revealing the bonus features - that didn’t appear in the original footage.

The small print on the screen implies that the content won’t be available on other consoles until November 2022, meaning that PlayStation fans won’t be getting entirely exclusive content. Still, you'll be getting content before Xbox and PC players. Although frankly, players will likely be moving onto the next Call of Duty title by November 2022 anyway.

What Will The Exclusive Vanguard Content Be?

There’s no news on what the extra content for PlayStation users will be, but knowing Call of Duty, expect cosmetic skins, weapon skins, and if you’re lucky, a good watch too. Dare we even wish for an exclusive mode? We expect these items to cross over into Warzone too, so if we’re lucky, it’ll be twice the bonus we thought it’d be.

Remembering that the Zombies Onslaught mode has been exclusive to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, it's much of the same. Onslaught is still exclusive to Sony (until November 1) so it'll be a similar state of affairs if it's some sort of WWII mode. Bonus or not, Vanguard is shaping up to be a very exciting game indeed. And don’t worry, Xbox fans - your time will come eventually.
