A Call of Duty streamer has blown everyone’s minds after playing Cold War with a Rockband guitar as a controller. Yup - this is a thing.

When it comes to standing out in the crowd these days, there’s not much out there that hasn’t yet been done. So when you’re trying to think of the next big thing to get you noticed, and all those followers flocking to see what wacky high jinks you get up to next - you’ve got to be creative.

Twitch streamer TheStevieP has absolutely nailed this formula, by doing the crossover to end all crossovers. In scenes reminiscent of Sean Pegg’s Shaun of the Dead, he somehow managed to figure out how to kill zombies with a guitar.

During his stream he explained: “Walk is down on the strum bar, walking backward is up on the strum bar. To look around, red is to the left, yellow is to the right, blue is up, orange is down. And green shoots.”

Unfortunately, there’s no way to reload or use a grenade. Hmm. I’m starting to see some flaws in this otherwise perfect plan. He added: “If I get a kill in multiplayer I’m going to laugh. The person who dies to me deserves to be laughed at.”

You’re probably wondering if he did manage to kill anyone? Well, yes. Believe it or not, he actually did. Uploading the clip to Reddit, he titled the clip: ‘I Got A Kill In MP With a Rockband Guitar. :)’. At the time of writing, he has an impressive 8k upvotes.

Reddit user Mechnick2 commented: “Getting a kill with a rockband guitar is confirmed easier than getting a kill with the M82.” While MARzNYC added: “You and the Dude who plays MW with the Drums should collab, would be dope to see one guy on drums and one on guitar.”

To be fair, that’s a great shout.
