Call Of Duty Pros Flame OpTic Players For Skipping CDL Meeting
Call of Duty professionals are growing increasingly exasperated with the lack of developer support from Sledgehammer Games, so when the call comes in from the CDL to collate players and discuss the upcoming season, you'd have thought it'd be a top priority for players to attend. However, it appears wires have been crossed, and just as select OpTic Texas players began complaining about late scrims, the CDL players have taken shots at the Green Wall for not attending the crunch talks.
OpTic texas players Complain about LAG Lateness
After having a growing reputation of being late to scrim matches, with much onus on Brandon "Dashy" Otell, OpTic Texas have been open about their commitment to being on time in the upcoming season, with Head Coach Raymond "Rambo" Lussier saying in-house fines will be implemented to fund a team bonding meal.
Having shown their commitment to timekeeping, the Green Wall took to stream to express their annoyance at Los Angeles Guerillas, who were seemingly late for their practice rounds. "What's up with that?" echoed both Seth "Scump" Abner and Anthony "Shotzzy" Cuevas-Castro.
Often being called out on his scrim torching, Dashy said, "What would have happened if it was me? it'd have been world war three. 'Oh my god he's done it again, we told you this would happen. Oh my god, we warned everyone.' But LAG though, it's cool, s**t happens."
SlasheR Hits Back At OpTic For Missing CDL Calls
Despite OpTic's growing annoyance at the delays to their scrims, Guerillas' main Assault Rifle main Austin "SlasheR" Liddicoat hit back at the clip, on social media.
The 2016 World Champion said that the reason that LAG were not on time was because "we were actually at the CDL meeting discussing the future of the CDL and the 2022 season," casting shade at the OpTic boys who were evidently not present.
Both Atlanta FaZe's SMG slayer Chris "Simp" Lehr and Subliners' James "Clayster" Eubanks found interest in SlasheR's sass, with the latter simply commenting "LMAOOOOOO". Strangely, the OpTic roster was without Coach Rambo and Indervir "iLLeY" Dhaliwal, who were actually in attendance for the call.
Following the launch of Halo Infinite, which has been praised for being more "esports ready" compared to Call of Duty: Vanguard, players have been itching to speak to the league in order to iron out rulesets and calendars for the upcoming season, which can be assumed to be the main topics of the CDL call.
Whilst the league will find solace in OpTic showing good timekeeping, hopefully, the matter of CDL management will be echoed to fans in the coming weeks.
