It’s finally here. Reported by CodTracker today, the German PlayStation Store has leaked the official trailer for the most anticipated Call of Duty remaster to date. Modern Warfare 2 is here, and we cannot wait.

As we previously reported, the remake will be for the campaign, not multiplayer and other cooperative modes. However, this does have one the most enthralling campaigns Call of Duty made. Jumping in with Task Force 141, you will be able to play as some of the most loved characters, such as MacTavish, Roach, Soap and Captain Price.

With some gripping missions such as ‘Wolverines’, the extremely controversial ‘No Russian’, and ‘Endgame’ you will be able to relive World War Three and come to face with some of the darkest villains and betrayals the Call of Duty have made.

You will also be able to visit The Gulag, on a mission to rescue Captain Price. The Gulag has been a feature of Call of Duty: Warzone, and you will be able to explore this further on a prison break mission lead by Soap.

As for multiplayer, it is likely that this will never be remastered, but the maps will be incorporated into the most recent Modern Warfare. You can already play Rust on Modern Warfare, and it is likely to see more maps introduced soon such as Highrise.

It appears that Activision has been sat on this for a long time too, with the end credits of the trailer showing the copyright starting in 2018, meaning that the trailer has been ready to go for two years.

With the date not officially set, it is likely to be available in the very near future.
