Call Of Duty Mobile Season 9 Releases Later This Week
Let's get ready to rumble as Call of Duty: Mobile Season 9 is officially parachuting into our lives later this week. If you've stuck with the pint-sized version of everyone's favourite first-person shooter, you'll know Call of Duty: Mobile has all the usual fun of the fight. The next season is officially titled Call of Duty: Mobile "Conquest".
There have been several leaks along the way for Season 9, so keen to get the jump before any more make it through the net, the developers have unveiled what's on the way. We may be nine seasons in, but there's a tonne of new content on the way and the introduction of some fan-favourite features.
Posting on Twitter, Activision revealed when Conquest will finally drop. You trigger-happy phone tappers had better mark August 16 in your diary. Season 9 will bring the sixth-ranked Call of Duty: Mobile series live. Notably, there's the huge reveal of a 10v10 multiplayer mode - so expect there to be a bloodbath. With 20 players landing in a deadly deathmatch, the mechanics will be similar to a standard multiplayer (albeit on a larger scale). A series of memorable maps will be playable but selected at random.
If 10v10 isn't challenging enough for you, why not try out the new "Hardcore Mode"? Here, everyone is given just 30 HP, there's no minimap to scope out where enemies are hiding, and you'll be punished for friendly fire. You've been warned.
This is just the start of Season 9's Goliath update. Battle royale is facing some tweaks and is introducing four new locations : Campgrounds, Dormitory, Outpost, and Radar Base. Importantly, the Gunsmith is coming in Season 9 and will allow a whole host of customisation. Alongside cosmetic customisation, the Gunsmith lets you add different scopes and barrels to your weapons for a mix-and-match feel.
Elsewhere, there's the Kilo Bolt-Action, which is a cross between a sniper and faster assault rifle - described as the game's “the first-ever Marksman rifle". It boasts "excellent mobility” while keeping the perk of being able to “one-shot enemies". In keeping with Season 9's World War II theme, the Shield Turret is also coming as a Battle Pass reward.
Finally, four new characters are going to be released into the game. Get ready to say hello to Lev Kravchenko, Reznov, Nikto- Stronghold, and Edward Richtofen. As Season 8 comes to a close, fear not, it looks like things are going to get bigger and better in Call of Duty: Mobile Season 9.
