The inaugural season of the Call of Duty League (CDL) has come to an end. While the Dallas Empire were crowned champions, there’s still one more tournament for some of the players to compete in.

The All-Star Weekend will see 32 players from the league battle it out for the lion’s share of $100,000 in prize money.

Find out everything you need to know about the event, including format, prize pool, and who we think is in contention for the title, right here.

Tournament Format

The format differs from what fans have become accustomed to during the inaugural season of the CDL. The 32 players will compete in a best-of-three series against another player in a one-versus-one Gunfight duel.

The players will use a range of weaponry from the Modern Warfare arsenal, including assault rifles, sub-machine guns, and sniper rifles, meaning players will have to showcase their skills with all three weapon types in order to progress to the next round.

Participating players have been randomly drawn into a single-elimination bracket, meaning that there are no second chances and absolutely no room for error.

Eventually, the tournament will come down to just two players remaining in the grand finals. The winner will walk away with $15,000 in prize money and the crown of 2020 Call of Duty League All-Star.

The 32 players taking part in the All-Star Weekend were selected using three methods. Fans voted for two players from each of the 12 franchise teams, six players were selected by CDL casters, while the regular season MVP and Champs MVP automatically qualified for the tournament.

Find a list of participating players below:

Players To Watch

1)    Indervir “iLLeY” Dhaliwal – Dallas Empire

Having just won his first championship ring in his debut season, iLLeY has been one of the many players that have broken into the upper echelons of competitive Call of Duty this season. Synonymous for his mastery of the Modern Warfare mechanics and competence with any weapon, he is definitely going to be one to watch.

2)    Bradley “Wuskin” Marshall – London Royal Ravens

As the standout performer with the sniper rifle this past season, it’s hard not to consider Wuskin as one of the players to watch during All-Star Weekend. His clinical precision with the sniper was often the catalyst for the Royal Ravens in Search & Destroy, alongside his ability with the M4A1 assault rifle. He could well end the season on a high with an All-Star win to his name.

3)    Bryan “Apathy” Zhelyazkov – Seattle Surge

Modern Warfare has not been kind to Apathy and the Seattle Surge. A disappointing year for both player and team sees Apathy leaving the Surge in search of pastures new, but there could be a silver lining for Apathy. Widely regarded as one of the most versatile players in the world, the North American veteran has the perfect opportunity to end the Modern Warfare season with a win under his belt.
