Call Of Duty Hackers Are Hacking The Unhackable Anti-Cheat
Call of Duty’s new anti-cheat has been what a lot of fans are hinging on right now. The new measure to keep hackers at bay and restore playability to Warzone and maintain Vanguard has been a long time in the works, and long overdue for many.
The battle royale title has been inundated with cheaters for too long, and it has since been considered lost to the hackers. But the new anti-cheat will change that. Or should we say, it would have changed that, if it hadn’t just leaked to the hackers themselves? Whoops.
Call Of Duty’s Anti-Cheat Has Leaked
Well, it’s a good day to be a hacker.
The seemingly bulletproof anti-cheat measures that were expected to lock Warzone and Vanguard down has now leaked early, and cheaters are using its systems to reverse-engineer hacks that work around its ban parameters.
Anit-cheat specialists AntiCheatPD confirmed that the kernel driver is now floating around online and that cheaters are already getting to work building cheats that avoid its bans.
It has since been confirmed that these drivers that are available online are genuine, confirming worries and likely creating a storm of panic at Call of Duty HQ. The unhackable hacker measures have been hacked. You couldn’t write it.
What Does This Mean For Warzone?
At best, Warzone’s new anti-cheat won’t have much building to do in order to redevelop the anti-cheat. At worst… the anti-cheat that Call of Duty wasted their time gloating about has just been rendered useless. It means hackers aren’t going to have any trouble avoiding their bans.
This has seriously impacted the chances of the anti-cheat working, and after all of Call of Duty’s confidence… this could very seriously damage the playability of Warzone going forward. Get to playing now - though it might be riddled with cheaters, it could be about to get much worse.
