Call Of Duty Glitch Swaps Your Head For A Gun
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is nearing its year anniversary and players are still finding some hilarious glitches, with one discovered in the Outbreak mode that turns your head into a gun - technically making you a tank, I guess?
Whilst the game is a lot more stable these days, Cold War is no stranger to odd glitches like the one that removed most of your Operator’s clothes, only leaving you with some black budgie smugglers. There have been the usual suspects over its life cycle too, like unintentional invincibility in the zombies mode and unlimited XP.
What is the bug in Cold War?
The newest glitch involves free-falling from very high up, leading to some curious results. If the player has the upgraded Stamin-Up perk equipped, then it should grant them immunity to fall damage, which certainly is useful in an often vertical game. Rather unfortunately though, if the player free falls from high and lands at an awkward angle, the game seems to struggle, registering the landing as successful.
A Redditor, who seemed to discover and document it, shared a video example where they landed on the edge of a fence and their head transformed into a gun. As they land, their arms continue to wildly swing around as if they’re still stuck in the sky, not allowing them to hold their gun in the traditional manner.
Annoyingly, the glitch seems to halt the ability to fire your gun, making it rather useless. In the Reddit video, the player regains control again after interacting with the exfil beacon and Pack-A-Punch machine, allowing them to continue playing. It seems the glitch is more humorous overall than game-breaking, so it’s unlikely to anger fans or ruin anyone's progress at an unfortunate moment.
The next entry in the series, Call of Duty: Vanguard is set to be released on November 5, so we can expect a whole new wave of silly glitches and funny exploits soon to carry on Cold War’s torch.
