Call Of Duty Fan Shares Trick To Take Out Armoured Zombies
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s Zombies mode has been a treat for long-time fans. The new additions to the mode - defying the series’ previous attempts to spice up the game’s formula - are actually pretty great. With new loadouts and new ways to make the Pack-a-Punch and perks work have made the spin-off is even denser - giving players imaginative ways to take on endless zombie hordes.
But, one thing has been bothering fans, and that’s the armoured zombies. It’s a mild frustration when you can’t just pop off a zombie’s head like you’re used to, while the extra elbow grease they require to take care of adds even more annoyance to the game. But, some players have discovered a trick to take care of them with ease.
Armoured Zombie Trick: The Perks
The trick for taking care of armoured zombies begins with Death Perception, the new perk, that not only allows greater visibility of the map and the enemies around you, but also increases armour penetration damage by 10% at Tier 4. In order to kick this trick off, you’ll want to be upgraded to at least tier 4 to make sure you can make the most of this bonus.
This perk works best when paired with Deadshot Daiquiri, a perk that once was deemed useless but as its second-tier buff offers a whopping increase of armoured damage by 50%, it’ll bring you up to a huge 60% damage increase when shooting a zombie in its armour plates. It’s a whopping increase in damage, but it gets even better.
Armoured Zombie Trick: The Loadout
There’s one final touch that’ll help you buff your damage against armoured zombies, and you’ll find it in your loadout.
When using SMGs especially, picking up the cavalry barrel is a critical part of dealing big damage to armoured enemies. The original poster on Reddit shared this trick and shows off exactly how much damage this cocktail of perks and a barrel can produce - with their TEC-9 SMG jumping up from 17 damagers per shot to a huge 42.
It’s a great trick that shows exactly how to optimise your loadout for armoured enemies and is certainly going to come in handy in a pinch. The trick is likely to change if a Vanguard version of Zombies rolls around, but we’ll be making the most of it until then.
